planetx Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 funny how the 'liberal' media have simply _stopped_ reporting why the Hezbollah kidnapped the Israeli soldiers. Hezbollah have reiitereated the reason on several occassions. in most conflicts it is assumed that as truce is found that prisoners are exchanged. it certainly looks bad for Israel when they refuse to negotiate the release of 'women and children' from incarceration. WillyNilly Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Its been posted a few times, with quotes, that tradiationally prisioners have been kidnapped in order to have an exchange of prisioners and appartently Israel has hundreds of Lebanese prisioners, but this time they decided to change the rules and attack instead. I have wonder if the kidnapped soldiers were put out as a trap in order to have an excuse to start this flattening of Lebanon. Quote
WillyNilly Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Hussein Faka, 35, says that the world does not understand what is happening. According to Mr Faka, his cousin has been in Israeli jail for over 20 years for killing an Israeli civilian. He says he does not know if his cousin is dead or alive. "We have two of theirs (Israeli soldiers) but they have hundreds of ours in Israeli jails," says Mr Faka. "That's what this is all about." In the past, Israel had negotiated the release of Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners it held, in exchange for Israelis captured by Hezbollah. But this time, as one Israeli minister put it, "the rules have changed". Found the quote that referred to exchange of prisioners. Quote
