politika Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Alright i sit just me, or is gun violence getign ridiculus? I know it has been going on for a while in major ciries like Winnipeg and Toronto but recently I read about a man who was shot to death in a Toronto funeral home by yet another ruthless gang who thinks killing is a game? What has are government done to fix this problem? (Please correct me if I am wrong) Absolutly nothing, yes they have hired more police officers on the street. But is that really effective considerign are officers are under equipped and unde rfunded to deal with this. I am going away to college in a year in Winnipeg, I will be off on my own, and probably in a bad part of the city and I don't want to ahev to worry about getting shot and killed. Quote

Then I'd recommend not joining any gangs... Hang out with other students... and, if you are worried about gun violence, etc, I would consider altering your plan to live in a "bad part of the city".... Quote

It tends to be used when police come upon a murder in one of the more troubled parts of the city. It is NVNNHI. It's a term used to refer to the habit of nasty gang-bangers of killing other nasty-gang bangers and nasty drug dealers of killing other nasty drug dealers, etc. It stands for nigger vs nigger, no human involvement. Another term used is "self cleaning oven". They're both black humour (pun acknowledged but not intended), but do point out that the vast majority of such killings are not something ordinary citizens not involved in crime need to worry much about. In Winnipeg, the gangs are largely native, I understand, but the same concept applies. crazymf Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 Argus!! That's mighty redneck of you to express yourself like that. Welcome to the dark side. I can almost tell there's a sense of humor in there somewhere. Congrats! Quote The trouble with the legal profession is that 98% of its members give the rest a bad name. fellowtraveller Posted November 20, 2005 Report Posted November 20, 2005 Is this latest killing going to result in another photo op for PM Martin, where he blames the Amerikkkans for the violence/guns? Quote The government should do something.
