Guest Peeves Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 http://www.thecornwalldaily.com/news/hamilton/story.aspx?ID=1873212 29 city workers firedCHML 1/28/2013 The city of Hamilton has fired 29 public works employees for neglect of duty. Another two workers have been suspended without pay for 30 days. It follows an investigation into various offences including altering time sheets and selling asphalt out of the back of city trucks. Last I read was that some supervisors were also suspended. Was there any follow up? I can' find any. It's a pretty big story when so many involved. Apparently 'some' were using their equipt. (trucks) during working hours to repave driveways. They were apparently using city material for the driveways. All on company time. Quote
