A possible Iranian nuclear weapons program is getting a lot of airplay these days. Some say things like "Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons." Or "Israel will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons."

Currently, Iran is a signatory to the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, under the terms of which they have agreed not to seek or obtain such weapons. But that treaty has a procedure available for leaving the treaty.

My question is this: if Iran exercised its right to leave the treaty, do people still think there is some way it could be justly prevented from building nuclear weapons? If so, what is that way, and why should they be so prevented?

Would you like the junkyard dog to be able to bite you outsid e of the junk yard?

Nukes for a terorist state are not a good thing all a person has to do is ask yourself the Question can the Iranians be trusted as a nation possesing a NUCLEAR weapon or technology about the most destructive weapon on earth.

Could they be trusted not to pass on the weapons to people who mean to do harm to the west?

Remember even if the blast ocurs in the US we will still suffer.

You asked "if so what is that way " Draw the line in the sand if they cross it make it clear that they will be eliminated. The only true solution to the nuclear problem is to allow no one else to develope them the people of earth are far too uncivilized to each other to have in there posesion a weapon of such destructive power.

iran dosnt giv a shit about nukes if they want em they can just ask pakistan and thats that

the only reason iran isbegining uranium enrichment is to make a solution for theird long-term energy crisis

i agree with u wen u say uncivilised people should not control wmd maybe the UN should start putting sanctions on america u just cant trust a redneck with a shotgun

If someone wants to begin a preemtive strike on Iran in the name justice ,so be it . but man r they gonna be in for a surprise
