The reason they whipped their victim doesn't matter, nor should your hate of Muslims be allowed to influence the sentence. There is no law against being Muslim.First, I admire Muslims and Islam. Second there is a huge difference between a fistfight at the corner bar and an organized persecution of an individual for religious beliefs. This is a true hate crime; not publication of a vaguely offensive Maclean's article.They should be deoported, if eligible for it. We allow way too many people to stay in Canada after being convicted of serious crimes. Again, has nothing to do with their religion, but what crime they committed.Agreed.
