TimG Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) The impact of the accident has been devastating on people in the evacuation zone and a lot of people live close to a reactor somewhere in the country. I think the fear of a repeat of Fukushima is much greater than the fear an economic meltdown. In fact, I suspect many Japanese would rather experience an economic meltdown than risk another Fukushima. It is irrational but I don't see it changing anytime soon.
