Battletoads Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 The gutting of the traitors Bloc. It's been a long time coming, but its good to see Quebecers may finally be pulling their heads out of their asses. The question is, is this the death of the bloc or just a serious blow? It's been a long time coming, but its good to see Quebecers may finally be pulling their heads out of their asses. The question is, is this the death of the bloc or just a serious blow? I think it's definitely a blow to the BLOC, and likely they won't recover, however we shouldn't mistake the likely death of the bloc with the death of sovereignty in Quebec. It might be the death of the Bloc, but more importantly the crushing of the LPC and CPC in Quebec, that is more telling than anything. Now we'll have to see how the QC caucus of the NDP inform their TROC colleagues about the more palatable aspects of what they want accomplished. Certainly being a part of a larger opposition with a federal voice is something that older Quebeckers are familiar with. Quote
