I wonder how our resident rainy day racist feels about his chosen party's atempts to woo the ethnic vote

With the same fervor, with the same eloquentness, with the same Mensa abilities as he does with most things......"Wait ....Wha?.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ "

"Honey...we're out of cereal"

Reply: "F..ing immigrants."

It's not the fact that they are members of any certain minority group is why they commit a greatly disproportionate amount of crime. It's the fact that they are in poverty, and that those minority groups have a disproportionate percentage of their members in poverty. Poverty breeds crime way more than ethnicity could even imagine. In the US, the problem is that these groups believe that they have no way out of their poverty, and they aren't given enough opportunities to be shown or to assist them in getting out of it. This is the problem with the beliefs of people like you. You can't see beyond the color of people's skin to see what is really going on and where the true problems lie.

Remember please, that a lot of the social problems of minorities are of their own doing.

If the Black students would largely continue their education past gr 9 they would have a better lot in life

If they didn't join gangs they would have a better lot in life.

If the parents of Muslim girls didn't insist that they wear the ethnic clothes of the country from which they emigrated they would feel more comfortable around their classmates & continue their education to get a better lot in life.

Most western Muslims do not have the stereotypical beliefs of Muslims... the outspoken minority that are terrorists cover up the silent majority that aren't and don't support them. Calling all Muslims supporters of things of that sort would be like me saying you are a communist because you are from Canada and we all know how left wing/communist Canada is. Doesn't make sense.

I'll agree that most western Muslims do not have the stereotypical beliefs of Muslims HOWEVER, the people to whom you refer have to accept that Canada is where they live, their choice of country and they have to have moved to Canada to improve their & their families lives. To do this they have to do things like---- if they hear of a plot against our (and their) country they report it to the authorities. If their Mullah is a radical firebrand, promoting distension & civil disturbances they have to tell someone in authority. If they can't agree to these things they should & should have to , return to their former country

The Canadian life requires that they treat Canada as their primary home, obtain citizenship & pay taxes to Canada unlike the people who obtain citizenship & then go back to Lebanon for example, and use their citizenship as an escape chute when trouble occurs in the Land they to which they returned to work & pay taxes. In other words, no free lunch.

That is a fair game comment. I'll take you up on it.

If the Black students would largely continue their education past gr 9 they would have a better lot in life

Question: why do "Black students" largely NOT continue their education past grade 9? Any ideas?

If they didn't join gangs they would have a better lot in life.

Question: why DO they join gands in the first place? Any ideas?

If the parents of Muslim girls didn't insist that they wear the ethnic clothes of the country from which they emigrated they would feel more comfortable around their classmates & continue their education to get a better lot in life.

Muslim girls do OK in our education system do they not? If not, why? (please provide some sort of third party citation to back this claim. Thanks.)

Puh-lease. Gawd, if we ever took this view - the weak view BTW - we would have expelled the Irish over and over again. And the Germans and Japanese. And practically everyone else...

You should avoid using English words, Candien, when you clearly have a limited understanding of what they mean. Diatribe? Look that up for me in your French-English dictionary, would you? Then try and point mine out.

Big surprise here. You cannot resist the temptation to make a fool of yourself whenever somebody does not share your prejudice.

As for my use of the word diatribe - doN't worry. I checked my Oxford Concise first. But you have a point, for once. I shouldn't have been nice and use the word diatribe. Nope, the best word to describe something like...

But it's a gross injustice, and it pisses off the people who have been working steadily in a riding association for years to suddenly have some guy in a funny hat come in, plunk down his ten bucks, and then bring in hundreds more people with funny hats to vote him in as the candidate.
is ranting.
As far as I'm aware ethnics and immigrants are pretty much the only people doing it. I guess I broke some big liberal taboo by mentioning that, eh? Maybe that's part of your 'unique' culture.

Never heard of Norm Sterling? Or attempts by evangelical groups to get their people selected is Conservative candidates through massive card signing by individuals not previously involved with the party ?

I must change job and quick. All my time spent at my workplace on the York University campus is causing me to see Muslim women everywhere.

You know they don't?
