Free Thinker Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 the truth about Harper Some interesting reading, quotes from a guy who says he repersents the views of Canadians. Does this man repersent your views? Do you actually want him to be our PM(although he never will)? Quote
willy Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Yes, I do want Harper as PM. If you want valid information on Harper try better sources than a Liberal smear site. Quote
Free Thinker Posted May 23, 2004 Author Report Posted May 23, 2004 Harper said what he said. There is nothing wrong with smearing someone with the truth. Did you actually read what he said. And I susposed teammartinsaid.ca isn't a smear site? Quote
Dennis Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Some "Free Thinker", coming on these boards and advertising a Liberal attack campaign website. It sais a lot about the Liberal Party of Canada when they start of an election campaign by using an Amerian style attack strategy - taking selective quotes out of context and characterizing them as the thoughts and principles of the person saying them. And why is it wrong for someone to hit back in self-defence, forcing Paul Martin to explain himself things he accuses Harper of believing and saying? Here it is: Paul Martin's Liberal Hypocrisy and Lies - What's New? Martin seems to love to dish it out. But when his own tactics are thrown back in his face, his supporters kick and scream. Its hilarious the emptiness and desperation to which Paul Martin has succumbed. It happens when your lies and political games are exposed for what they are. Its LIBERALS. Like Dalton McGuinty, Jean Chretien, and Alphonso Gagliagno, what do you expect? Its a shame. Quote

And I susposed teammartinsaid.ca isn't a smear site? I am a Conservative. I have read his speeches, seen him speak, read articles he has written and in this context the more important thing for me I have seen what he has done. Steven is a thoughtful, family man, very bright and principled. His integrity will bring him many voters. What people say is one thing, but what they do is more important as it speaks to what they really believe. Hypocrisy will show Martin to the door. Quote
Free Thinker Posted May 23, 2004 Author Report Posted May 23, 2004 Well I guess we will see on June 28 won't we. Quote

When it comes down to a thief, oh he didn't know about it, so i guess my choice is between an: *Incompetent leader *troubles with sustanability or *words taken out of context it really isn't much of a choice. takeanumber Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 The thing with Harper and the Conservatives is that they really havn't changed. There are still the Kenny's, the Ablonzy's, the Anders' and the Reynold's. And they control the party. Are they really that far off from the moderate centre? Their plan: pretend to be moderate. But that's all they're doing: pretending. You should hear how the party intelligencia speak. They believe it's possible for the party to seem to be moving towards the centre, but remain 'principled'. Codeword for small 'c' conservative. Quote
