jbg Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 Many Westerners, including Canadians and Europeans, seem to think that if Israel vanished, all would go swimmingly in the area. This article (link) is strong evidence that it would not . Excerpts below. Fatah officials in Ramallah told The Jerusalem Post that Hamas militiamen had been assaulting many Fatah activists since the beginning of the operation last Saturday. They said at least 75 activists were shot in the legs while others had their hands broken. Wisam Abu Jalhoum, a Fatah activist from the Jabalya refugee camp, was shot in the legs by Hamas militiamen for allegedly expressing joy over the IDF air strikes on Hamas targets. Meanwhile, sources close to Hamas revealed over the weekend that the movement had "executed" more than 35 Palestinians who were suspected of collaborating with Israel and were being held in various Hamas security installations. Now, I ask you, who does Israel negotiate, and how? Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

Now, I ask you, who does Israel negotiate, and how? Your attitude is quite interesting. Fatah has been an ally of Israel - fighting with Hamas to secure the safety of Israel resulting in Hamas attacking them. But rather than recognize it and help them, the Zionists prefer to watch the Palestinians kill themselves off. Because in the end, the less Palestinians that are alive, the more land there is for wealthy Jewish settlers. Quote
Muddy Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 I wonder if Hamas would be reelected in a vote now? They have brought destruction down upon the heads of innocent Palestinians by lobbing mortars and rockets on Israel. Now they are killing and maiming Palestinians that disagree with what they have done. Hamas can not be negotiated with . They have said so . Why is it that some believe that they can? Quote
