wulf42 Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Apparently no one gets murdered in Texas. They might get murdered but the people who did it will only ever do it once!.................We need Texas style justice here in a big way! Quote
fellowtraveller Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 Reporting of crimes certainly rose. I don't believe much of it. One thing that has changed is that police groups everywhere are increasingly aware of what it takes to get more money and more cops and bigger budgets. Like any big bureaucracy in a large industry, they are expert at making numbers sit up and bark on command. Quote The government should do something.
kengs333 Posted November 1, 2008 Report Posted November 1, 2008 No such thing. Terrorists tend to start small, and then they like the publicity and attention so much they want to make bigger and bigger bangs to get more press attention. A perfect example is the current controversy in the US regarding Obama and William Ayers. Remember that Ayers group started out blowing up statues. Pretty innocent. But they graduated into nail bombs - or would have if the bomb didn't blow up and kill them. I'd like to see them run a pipline through your backyard against your will and see how you start to play semantics with the term "terrorist". Quote
Argus Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 I'd like to see them run a pipline through your backyard against your will and see how you start to play semantics with the term "terrorist". I suspect you have a rather exaggerated view of the term "back yard". "Yeah, they ran it practically through my back yard! Well, it's ten miles south, but that's practically the same thing!" Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley
Sir Bandelot Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 (edited) Why is someone attacking these pipelines? I am guessing it has to do with a land dispute, maybe natives, or to do with a public health issue. Apparently they are sending letters to the media. Does anyone know what they say?
