That is the point they were caught and charged because there were controls in place to identify these people as criminals. There are no controls on a Municiple level. Also as a taxpayer your City is the first place you pay taxes, it intimatley effects your pocket book. The fact that you don't see that as a problem is the joke!

In light on all the City hall corruption cropping up all over BC I think it is high time we all lobby our provincial government for municipal audits to ensure ethical financial accountablity is the norm for all of hard working tax payers.
