Seriously though, women in many arab countries are not allowed to make decisions about whom they are marrying. They come to the west, marry who they please, and no the sky doesn't fall.
Many women talk of being degraded, when naked. It is the christian values still entrenched in our culture that makes them feel this way. In the Amazon little girls run around completely naked all the time, and no, the sky doesn't fall.
I could see some concern with the young woman's views if they were influenced by some 60 year old purve who just wants them in the sack. If these are truely her ideas then what is the big deal?

It's a complicated subject.
If we allowed our childeren to be more involved in our communities (rather than droning away in classrooms), they would be much more mature about everything, including their sexuality and sexual choices. The Americans don't keep tabs on Cuban immigrants the way that they do with mexicans, and the cuban government couldn't care less just as long as they stay in America. Either way there is absolutely know way to prove it on the internet except through rationality.

Well, I have heard some pretty terrible stories about the history departments across our land.
I thought that I would share what I have heard, and experienced in my own class rooms, to you all.
Well.
First of all, history in institutions is no longer about real history. It is about socially acceptable history.
I cannot count the times where important events have been skipped completely because of the way they are peceived. For example, in my second year American history class we did not even talk about what George Washington did for the country. Instead, we talked about all of the terrible things the white man did to the slaves.
It seems that the ability to teach history as it happened is wrong because it is dominated by white males the farther you go back.
It seems clear to me that you think history is taught incorrectly because it does teach closer to the facts now days.
You find it socially unacceptable to paint the real picture complete with blood and guts, because you more comfortable with white lolly pops, and jelly doughnuts.

The truth is that modern society is still very racially segregated, and a look at our historic influence on non-westerners is still very important!
And yeah I wish they would tell the truth about George Washington! About how he kicked out George the 3rd to become George the 1st.

I garantee you that is not the case for most people, I personally enjoy getting work done. It's the fact that under capitalism, I have to do it in rediculously short periods of time, with rediculously small resources that pisses me off. The only reason so many people have no jobs and are suffering is because of the slave like qualities in the workplace.
Edit: Actually forget all that manifesto stuff, you should look up 'historical materialism', that should give you a much better understanding of communism/anarchism than Marx ever could.

It seems to me as though Anti-Americanism in this country is out of control.
Is it right for Canadians to hate America, as they do, because of their dislike for an administration. In 4 years it will be a new one and then what?
What if the leader is another Bill Clinton who we can tolerate, do we just flip the switch back after years of constant attacks on the country as a whole?

Where in any communist country do you believe that any education is free and "flexible" I am pretty sure that the authorities would decide if you have enough potential and there are jobs available for any select training. Your wages would be controlled and would not rival wages in a capitalistic country where you control your own fate and earning power. Help paying for an education is available in Canada. If you have excellent grades in school ; you can get awards, bursaries or grants towards your education. You can take out student loans to pay for your education.
You can choose to take out a more minor degree; prove yourself to a company and there are many who will pay for your furthuring your education.

"Communism" is a stateless society, it would likely manifest itself in a network of communes, allowing for true democracy.
When it comes to Canada, and North America in general, "Communism" is indeed impossible given the fact that we are largely still very religious. However a true socialism of some sort is still much preferable in my eyes to an imaginary golden age that only seems to be leading us towards another dark age. I believe though that most of western europe could pull communism off.

You have to be kidding, whether its communism or capitalism there will be rich and poor, there will be decision makers (PRIVLEDGED) and the followers(MASS POPULATION). At least capitalism allows you to get yourself ahead with ambition and hard work. Communism holds you back, the only way communism could be governed in Canada is by having 32,000,000 MPs. Talk about inefficient and silly.
People have all the ability to be involved in the world, its just whether or not you get involved and speak through your actions rather than sitting on the sidelines complaining.

Don't be too hard on Black Dog. He, and much of the Canadian left, have been in a tizzy since the Fox News Channel came to Canada. They are fearful that their dearly beloved hardcore socialist state-run, taxpayer-funded, Soviet Style CBC will lose even more ratings. The Communist Broadcasting Corporation has been openly attacking Fox News - once again showing the world that "tolerance" that the left is soooo noted for.
I can see why the Fox News Channel is wildly popular in the US; it is so much better than its competitors. It actually is fair and balanced and *gasp* actually has as many conservatives as liberal.
What a treat it is after listening to the lies and dirty tricks of the liberal media for years and years, from C-BS's phony memos, to CNN covering up Saddam's atrocities so they could keep their Baghdad bureau open. Then CNN's Eason Jordan resigned yesterday amid his outlandish accusations (with no proof!) of US troops targeting journalists for murder and torturing journalists.
And who could ever forget CNN allowing two of John Kerry's advisors (James Carville and Paul Begala) to have their own show and promote the Kerry campaign; a blatant conflict of interest?
After a 5 year ban by Canada's ruling Liberal Party, they were forced to allow the Fox News Channel into Canada after they showed their true intentions (the destgruction of the US as revenge for the fall of the USSR) by allowing Jihad TV (Al Jazeera) to broadcast in Canada. After that move, they no longer could keep Fox News out without openly admitting they were cheering for the Islamofascists to defeat the US.
They could even call it Foxy News. Their female anchors are droolsville.

In my little world, I would be an F1 driver, too bad I am 6'4 and too big to fit in the cockpit. I could find thousands of things to cry about, but I guess I ll deal with it and go on living without complaining about the how bad the world treated me. We are born into this world to deal with what we are given, I think the sad thing about this world is that too many people expect sunshine to be pumped up their butt from day 1.

The right side of what? the communist party? Relatively speaking everyone is on the right side of something, but then that being said, the conservatives are ont he Left side of the political spectrum as the are further left then the Nationalist Party of Canada (I don't know if they still run). But we are not speaking in terms relative to political extreme we are using a standard right left assignment based on political views and the NDP sit Left of center. The Left is normally used ot describe Reformed Liberals or modern liberals, Progressives, social democrats and the more Radical groups like the Marxists. that being said, being a radical socialist is not what it takes to be on the left, and unless you can actually proove me wrong with something more then Dogmatic Bullshit you don't have a basis to make such a claim.
The middle class is not a "Myth", The middle class as th emodern definition goes is distinct formt eh Burgoise as it does not own "Capital" but is distinct from the working class in that it is fairly well to do, your white collar workers..so clearly such a group exists, now not in the Marxian terms mind you, that being said in Marxist terms the conditions of the Workers should have continually deterioated, and not have becoem better off..and that is partially what caused the emergence of Social democrats.

Now onto that last blurb about accessories, does it matter? Does it matter that my computer is only 1.4 Ghz? Or that it runs on windows 2000 and not XP? The fact is it works, and really that is all that matters, I don't need or want the latest gadget or version 5.1.1.1.6, version 5.1.1.1.5 works just fine, but if people will buy it good for them, it doesn't affect me, in a bad way. The government doesn't need to be my everything and onlything...it jsut need sot supply a saftey net, and a helping hand..and yes that coudl use some work. That being said...that work can be done under a CAPITALIST system, I highly doubt it could be done under a centrally planned economy. And Like caesar, as a vancouverite I would ask that you refrain from telling me what I want,a nd like caesar I am very pleased at being presented a moderate centrest choice...as I couldn't see myself voting Liberal or NDP.
