They laid down stakes in Ontario...the French criminals who were sent from France as punishment for their crimes settled in Quebec. That is FACT! I do not even know if I want to celebrate Canada Day! This country is fast becoming a joke. Rules only apply to some and people scream about wanting equality but then demand ( and usually) receive more than others. White English people don't seems to have any rights anymore and the socialists who think they are so superior in intelligence shut those up who disagree with their agenda by calling them racist. These same people scream and whine about free speech and yet, when someone disagrees with their point of view then the "free speech" rally cry becomes a moot point. Ontario has a culture and it's culture is based on the people who settled here and brought it its initial prosperity. That would have been the British. So why are we caving into the whining francophones here in Ontario? They do not want equality. I am sick of hearing them say that they need sign laws etc because they need to preserve their culture and their language. There are many eastern Europeans and Asians who came to this country and contributed and have managed to retain their culture. Why should I learn french? IT IS NOT MY CULTURE!! Is their group so weak that they must force it on others in order to preserve it. Getting a job in with the federal government in Ottawa is not about how intelligent you are anymore or your talents, but rather if you are french. You can be an anglophone who speaks french but that does not seem to have merit. When a stripper can get a high ranking position in the government because she speaks french but only has skills in sliding down greased poles, there is certainly something wrong. My small business works with government departments and we have run into people who actually cannot speak English! I will never put a bilingual sign on my business as I am not french and no one will tell me how to run my business. I pay enough taxes to support the payrolls of all the unintelligent people who work for the feds and never really do anything except go on vacation and collect a cheque. The band swing just shows how moronic and pathetic they are. Let them be, all that they are accomplishing is showing their lack of intelligence! Of course, if an English band did the same, we would never hear the end of it. I am sick to death of the lack of common sense in this country. But of course, I guess that such a thing is passe!!!
