How about an international tax to educate people on how to get food for themselves. Think of the proverb, "You can give a man a fish and feed him for a day, but you can teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime."

True, but nations not willing to help slowed down the US from going to war with Iraq, and proved to be a nuisence. I am saying, if you are not involved, don't bother the people who are.

The US has territories such as the Virgin Islands (bought from Denmark in 1917), Samoa, and various other islands, though I am not sure if they would classified as colonies. There is currently no real immigration from the 50 states to any territory that would reach anyone's attention.

True, Chirac is not mentioned in the entire blurb. However, I still don't like Chirac. There's been some shady dealings between Iraq the French, and he was probably involved.

How does that relate????? Our homeland was attacked, and thus went to war. What I meant was, what happened to the days when if it didn't involve you, you stayed out of it?????

When I mentioned "good old fashioned alliances" I meant the ones where, you didn't get involved in war unless you can get some land, you need to protect your land, and if your ally or allies were in trouble. Now we have my country patroling the world as if it was under one government. Also, Charlemagne is aka Charles the Great or Charles der Gross.

One question: What the heck ever happened to America that avoided getting involved in the quarrels of other nations? Now-a-days my country is a just looking for trouble to fix. I am just thinking of all the tax dollars wasted to help democracise the world. Some places don't need democracy. Look at Germany after WWI, their Kaiser was taken away and to fill his spot for a national leader came Hitler. Also, Napolean wanted to rule the world, which is not what citizens of the US want our government to do. Second, Lenin was a COMMY!!!! The US's doctrine is anti-Communism. Another thing, what happened to good old fashioned alliances?

Islam is like what Christianity was a millenium ago, with the Crusaders trying to capture the Holy Land in the name of God. Now the Muslims are trying to get it in the name of Allah. Now we look back on the crusades knowing that according to the Christian faith, God was probably not so happy about them. I predict the same will sometime happen with the muslims as well.

I live in the US and it is so annoying having so many people who don't speak English, or speak it clearly at any rate. There should be immigration laws that require immigrants to be able to speak English, or Dutch in the situation in the Netherlands. Also, the existance of ghettos is a bad thing because the allow people to think that it is ok to speak in a different language other that the language of the country of their current residnece. That is not good since it makes it harder for them to be accepted into the general society of their new home. Creating ethnic hate groups against them. That creates problems for the government, costing them more taxpayers dollars to increase security, which leads to general dissent among the native populace, and thus resenting foreigners even more. I STRONGLY dislike the amounts of immigration from Islamic countries into European countries since they are not truly welcomed there. For instance, the Turkish workers in Germany are unwelcomed because Germany has been rebuilt and they are no longer welcome. So now Turks are becoming desperate and Neo-Nazis are on the prowl waiting to beat them up. The situation in Europe does not look good. Remember that the racists of America are generally of European descent. Not to say that most Europeans are racists, but there are enough to make Europe an unfriendly palce for immigrants.
