  1. Well it looks like some recent developments in NH have sort of re-inforced the idea that it is the freest place in the nation and the best place for liberty lovers to escape. 1) Just this week New Hampshire's governor announced his government will defy the FDA (Federal Delay Administration) and allow NH citizens to import prescription drugs from Canada to save money. The state gov itself will only save about a million a year from this move. But the fact they are willing to make a stand against the Feds on principle does say a lot. 2) A Taxpayers' Bill of Rights is, I understand, working its way through the state legislature. It would, among other things, require a supermajority to raise taxes. Of course, NH already has something approaching the lowest tax burden in the U.S. 3) A couple months ago NH passed House Bill 811, which was considered a huge victory over the gun control-freak movement. NH is now considered neck-in-neck with Vermont and Alaska in the race to become the state with the least restrictive gun laws. How are things looking for freedom in *your* Neck of the North?
  2. I wasn't sure where to post this...but since it is happening near the border between Canada and the US I'll post it here.... What do you think of this unofficial flyer being circulated by folks from the Free State Project? They are, I understand, recruiting in Canada. --- WANT FREEDOM? COME TO NEW HAMPSHIRE! If you think you live in a free country, move along. We're not the droids you're looking for. But if you seethe with fury every April 15, if you think sales tax, Medicare and Socialist Security are slavery, if your response to gun control is "take my bullets first," read on... If you think drug use and sexual behavior among consenting adults are none of the Nanny State's business, if you agree that seat belt laws are for sheeple and smoking ordinances are for serfs... You are one of us. And you deserve to live in a freer place. New Hampshire is such a place; many consider it the freest state left in the world. And it's starting to get freer. Join us there and become the last, best hope for Liberty in Your Lifetime. www.FreeStateProject.org
