Polish radio RMF reports on a revolt in Polish units in Afghanistan. Only a week after achieving fighting efficiency in Afghanistan, a group of Polish soldiers was sent beck to the country due to insubordination and refusal to obey orders.
Some eleven Polish soldiers refused to go on patrol giving the cause that they were given faulty Humvees with too weak armor, much worse than the one used on US forces vehicles.
I don't know exactly whether the armor of the Humvees given to Poles was really too weak. Sure it was rubbish anyway. Privately speaking however I heard something else about this incident. According to my information, Polish soldiers had to be sent to the area of popper fields where US forces were having a fire duel with Afghan police that brought dozers to uproot the crops. The Poles decided among themselves that taking part in shady deals of Americans as well as fighting and dying for their drug business is not what they came to Afghanistan for. That's why they disobeyed the order and thus refused to take part in a nonsensical massacre. Both thumbs up! My respect to these guys! I could never imagine Poles could ever raise objections against America.
