  1. Mr. Read-- You make me shudder. You should feel proud to live in a country where everyone can express their love for whomever they choose. I know I'm ashamed by the fact that George Bush is trying to stop gay marriages. Gay men are not psychologically disturbed. Well, I'm sure some are, but there are men like that of the straight variety as well. Your implication that a gay couple can't raise kids in the same manner as a straight couple is sickening. Gay couples can provide, love, and care for their children just as well as straight couples. As to your original comments on this topic, I would not refer to this situation as "penis envy." I think it is a question of the way Americans choose to live their lives, caring too much about material possessions, and then there's that whole pork eating bit...Anyway, I think your statements at the beginning were totally ridiculous.
  2. Farrius, in retropsect, I see that I did not make myself clear. I don't want to take out Liberia. Or North Korea for that matter. I was against war in Iraq. I was making fun of paranoid conservatives with good imaginations.
  3. I agree totally, Hugo. No one can be blamed for this except for the people who did it, and I believe they've already received the punishment we would have given them if they had been caught. We've already dealed with Al-Queda, and Iraq, but just to be sure we got everyone who's against us we should go take out Liberia and North Korea too. By the way, Mr. Farrius, what are you talking about? Not that I don't like the way you're trying to compliment liberals, but lots of conservatives are sensitive to the views of others, however fascist they may be. Besides, I'm a liberal, and I am not sensitve to the views of others in the slightest, though I do try.
  4. Has anyone read about the Harvey Milk High School exclusively for gay students? I was totally offended when I first read about this school. I thought we decided segregation was a bad thing a long time ago...but now people are insisting this a good idea. I would love for all students, not just heterosexual ones, to feel safe and accepted in their learning environment. Apparently nearly 70% of gay teens nationally have experience harassment or violence, according to the Sexual Information and Education Council. That is terrible, but it doesn't mean under any circumstances that gay students should get their own school. It means that the other students aren't being taught to accept others for who or what they are, and that is the real problem. Besides, judging by their dislike for homosexual students, discriminating heterosexual students would actually enjoy being separated from those they despise that much? Somebody needs to teach these people that they are not going to agree with everyone they meet in life, thus they should get used to it now, before they get a gay boss and get fired for being insubordinate or something like that. Does anyone that the school is a good idea? No one I've been talking to seems to think so, yet I'd like to hear some information from someone with the opposite point of view, just to be as informed as possible. Thanks! (By the way, this is my first post, and I didn't know what to say, how did I do?)
