The medicine of the mole has nothing to do with tunnels. It is what is refered to as "Shape Shifting", the ability to ambush your enemy anywhere at any time by suddenly appearing and disappearing. Charlie almost had the ability to do it fully. That is the main ingredient to a successful ambush!
As we have both said already orders had to be followed regardless of how rediculous they seemed. Just as you refuse to believe what we're saying, the 90 day wonders didn't listen when a potential ambush was revealed and thus walked right into it!
