yes, but my "debate" is focusing more on disciplining children, not so much on spanking.

I agree, but do you think never disciplining a child allows them to grow up in a negative way?

What do you think; Do all children need discpline to correct poor behaviour, or do they just "grow out of it"? Is spanking really necessary?
