  1. You sound sooo brained washed! Try thinking outside the box. Liberals are so dishonest it is disgusting. They have created the worst relations with our largest trading partner, and created a mockery of our democratic system by believing they are above the law. They are more interested in self preservation then the general well being and growth of our nation. Their words are beginning to bounce off people's ears as finally we are beginning to see through their empty promises. Even U2's Bono has dropped Martin for his empty promises. Canada has harder times ahead of us. Raising interest rates and inflation will hammer the housing market, while the stronger Canadian dollar will adversely effect the export market. Personal bankruptcies will continue to raise due to our society trained to max out our credit lines. The Liberals did not bring in enough economic sustainable growth during this easiest of times to govern during the low low interest rate era, yet still they only sit around patting themselves on their backs. Only fools follow fools in a sinking ship. Maybe you should ask yourself which ship you are riding.
  2. I hear most of you narrowing your focus on the 1% GST cut when it comes to Harper's plan. Personally, the bigger picture is how our next government is going to handle corporate taxes and if they plan on encouraging existing business and new business to flourish in a Canadian environment. Layton seems to think that making money is an absurd ideology, while Martin and his cronies only endorse it if they get kick backs.
  3. The point here is which party is going to create the most sustainable jobs? I have made a strong point that the NDP is not interested at all at making jobs. The Liberals have had plenty of oppertunity to create real jobs... but it seems to me that they are more interested in padding their pockets from lobbiests then really looking after us Canadians. This leaves only one party. I am about JOBS! Canada's economy needs them looking forward... but then again does politics ever look very far ahead?
  4. Hmmm.... Maybe Harper is going to create job for the low income individual. It kills me how people would rather make up stories then create real solutions.
  5. NDP = HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS! The proof is in BC and Ontario. It's like they have never taken an economics course in their lives. Sure it would be great to be able to hand our social programs to everyone with their hands out. But this comes with a price which must be understood. Does this come from taxpayers, or businesses or both? We are already taxed to the nose with disposable income squeezed tighter then ever due to real & actual inflation. Sure Governments find nice ways to deliver padded versions of inflation to make everyone feel cosy and warm so they will keep spending and buying - mostly on credit, and to keep the housing bubble from popping. But the truth is dwindling disposable income hurts low income individuals more then anyone else. So let just increase taxes on businesses. Sounds like a great idea... but big business are not stuck here in Canada. They are very profit driven. So they pick up headquarters and move to tax havens - and that's if we are lucky. Others pick up and move all together. Yikes... now we have to deal with unemployment. Just ask all the Ford & GM employees how they feel right now. Oh, but you are in Vancouver so it doesn't matter. You just want cheaper cars and if Ford can give it too you by shutting down factories in Ontario that's ok with you. But wait a minute. Hollywood isn't making as many movies in Vancouver. They also don't want increased fees - especially now that the the Canadian dollar is getting much more expensive to the green back. Without any extra tax, Hollywood - well all American business for that matter - has to pay an extra penalty already due to the exchange rate. Looks like jobs will be lost there too, not to say profits to all businesses that reaped the rewards from Hollywood's spending practices. But here is the biggest catch of all. When business cut jobs, which jobs go first? The bottom up of course. That low income individual who you where trying to help by increasing corporate taxes is now unemployed and needs an even bigger handout. This is not fiction... it is reality. Thanks but no thanks. What Canada really needs is a party which will promote permanent Job growth by encouraging business. Let's get more people working, not receiving handouts.
  6. The only message that will be sent to Ottawa if the Liberals win will be go ahead and continue breaking the rules, go ahead and continue padding your own pockets and those of your close friends, go ahead and continue showing your complete arrogance to the Canadian tax payers. I could only imagine the laughing the liberal cabinet would be doing at the Canadian voters after their win. "We stole, we got caught, and we got put back into power. Since we didn't have to repay the millions of dollars or become accountable for our crimes we may as well continue padding our pockets. Apparently we are above the law". Do you think this message will help clean up our governing system? Are these really the people you want running our Country? With only 2 parties which can realistically form the government, it is a fact that those who wish to change the government must vote Conservative. The message I want to send... not just to the Liberals but to all parties... is this: Canada is a great democratic country run by the people who elect leaders to follow our mandates. When you forget who you work for, and when you forget to follow our criminal codes, then get out!" If we truly want to clean up Parliament, this Liberal party must be forced to take a back seat.
  7. Really well said! Wouldn't it be interesting if there was a way to ask a referendum question such as the following: ................................................................................ ............................ Do you want the current governing party to continue on as the government? [YES] Liberals should continue on as our government. [NO] If no, choose which party you wish to form the next government: A. Conservative B. NDP C. Bloc ................................................................................ .............................. This would require a majority of the population for any Government to retain power.
  8. Everyone would agree that there are only two parties with a chance to form the next federal government, the Liberals or the Conservatives. This means voters should really understand that regardless of your personal political point of view your vote boils down to voting the Liberals back into power, or voting the liberals out of power. If your desire is to keep the Liberals in power then you may be surprised to find out that you can vote for any party other then the Conservatives. It works like this. People who do not vote Liberal are saying the current government is not doing an adequate job and that it is time for a change. Now if a majority of the population wants a change in government but they all split their votes between 3 other parties, Conservative, NDP, and the Bloc, the Liberals will once again form the government. This vote splitting has been the real reason why Liberals have had such an easy time controlling the West, the Maritimes, and Quebec. Well Quebec is a different story. It really is amazing how much control Quebec has in Ottawa. Why do you think that is? The answer is quite simple. They are unified when it comes to voting. In Quebec there are only two options in the people’s minds, Liberal, or Bloc. When they are fed up with the liberals, like our current situation, they vote Bloc. Oh sure there will be plenty voting for liberals too, but when you think about it, they too are either voting for the current government or against them. Only those voting for the government are voting to stay part of Canada, while the Bloc are about separating. But the point is those voting against the government are unified, and united they become powerful. This is not the case in the West or the Maritimes. If people really want to change the government the only choice is to vote Conservative. Splitting votes with other parties will only give Liberals another default win with minority support of the population. Therefore: 1) Voting NDP = voting for the government (Liberal). 2) Voting Liberal = voting for the government (Liberal). 3) Voting Bloc = voting for the government (Liberal). 4) Voting Conservative = Voting for a change in government
