There is no surprise that information about bird flu outbreak in the Crimea has been appeared in I-net. According to experts' reports the H5N1 strain of bird flu is detected on the Crimean Peninsula and is extremely dangerous for humans. Since 2003 the same virus has killed at least 70 people in Asia. Some cases of human infections have been recorded in Ukraine, too, but not openly. Although there are no reports about human losses, non-stop operation of local crematoria (under the pretext of extermination of infected birds) is indirect evidence of human deaths from bird flu causes.
But how can our authorities explain to Crimean residents hundreds of dead chickens' and ducks' bodies that lie in earth canals round our human settlements? Those, who live in Ukraine's Black sea region of Crimea, are sure that people, dead from bird flu, are cremated together with dead birds in our crematoria, because there are numerous facts of diagnostic falsification in most local hospitals now. I know cases when medical workers have denied requests of relatives to give them the dead body.
Meanwhile facts of massive larine kill and mass fish mortality are covered up from our community, although local experts have incontestable evidence of bird flu spreading to new areas across the Crimea. So I think it is time for such organizations as EU, UN and WHO (World Health Organization) to turn their attention to Crimean situation and send their observers to our region. And they should demand to give objective information about real state of things.
