So the WORST nation on earth gives itself a 'C' grade !  'C' for Canada, I presume.  Or 'C' for complacent, corrupt, culpable on climate change.

    This is our shame.

Rubbish.  Canada is a cold country with a sparse population and huge spaces between population centers. comm sense (lacking for the guilt ridden Left) should explain that.

Changing population growth is probably beyond our  ability.   For obvious reasons, it is hardwired into our DNA.

The secular West certainly seems to be aiming at its own extinction which of course just means that the billions of religious cults such as Orthodox Jews, Christians, Fundamentalist Muslims and Hindus will continue to breed.

In the long term (?) nature aka biology will take care of the problem - and it won't be pretty.

Well, you called him a 'shit intellectual'. I don't think that's criticizing  ideas. And when you criticize someone in such a fashion you are by inference sneering at/ dismissing those who have read/watched/listened to him and agree with him on a number of issues. That's unlikely to get you much favorable intellectual discussion in return.

Calling Peterson a 'shit intellectual'  isn't criticism.   It is merely mindless 'white noise' and deserves the appropriate attention.

I'd prefer secularism. My father viewed religious chauvinism, including public displays of religion, as detrimental to social equality and as time passes I increasingly tend to agree with him. Personally, many of the accoutrements of religion, like wearing the hijab, kippah or crucifix don't bother me. But some others do. So, in order to be fair, I think a secularist ban, as in France, to be a fair an equitable solution.

France truly is a secular state.   The U.S may theoretically be a secular state but in practice is extremely religious.

If you start a war of extermination against the Jews, you had better finish the job. There's your problem. Your guys f---ked-up.

In the Middle East there is only one state where Muslims, Christins, gays, atheists etc are allowed access to all levels of education, medicare, can (and do) sit in the Knesset, and vote.

    That state is Israel.

An Israeli PM once said, "if the Muslims put down their arms there will be peace.  If the Jews put down their arms, there will be no Jews".

Israel is far from perfect but as a non Jew it is the only state I would live in.

Show where God has killed anyone. So far as I can determine, people die from many causes, but I can't think of any instance where God has killed anyone, apart from the Iliad.

    For a Believer-

It is axiomatic with believers that God created/creates ALL life.  That includes all life including humans etc., and also viruses, bacteria, prions, cancers.   God designed DNA so that it often makes mistakes replication thus birth defects, cancers etc..

Reconcile 'Gods Love' with babies cancer.   You cannot.

So God is the biggest killer of all.   A Believer might argue that the Creator has the moral right to destroy its own creations.   In that case even if you accept that, you are left with a God who may well be feared, but certainly not loved.  Saying that 'God is Love' is probably the most inaccurate idiotic statement ever.

As an atheist I have no reason to be concerned with this nonsense.   An atheist does not believe God doesn't exist.   Once again  I add this quote which I have never seen overturned.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

Well, now we're seeing the Doug Ford many of thought would emerge. He's taking the axe to Toronto city council, reducing the number of wards from 47 to 25, and cancelling the regional chair elections in Peel and York. There will be a lot of unhappy campers at city hall, for sure. I'm wondering if this is also intended as a warning shot to Tory not to undermine Ford's position on the illegal/irregular migrant crisis? Tory has been negotiating separately with the federal government to resolve the refugee claimant housing crisis, with the result that many of the migrants will soon be housed in hotels. Meanwhile, our growing horde of homeless get sleeping bags and maybe a cot in a church basement on cold nights, if they're lucky. It's quite a contrast. A friend who didn't support Ford's Conservatives in the election is now saying he's quickly warming to him. I believe Ford's "I'm in charge here" move will have broader repercussions.

Ford is exercising his legal rights.  The Toronto City Council has been a watchword for dysfunctional airheads for many many decades and Fords changes are long overdue.

His refusal to do much more than make a few nice speeches on housing for immigrants from the USA who by Canadian, American, & UN law are all illlegal (!) makes sense since immigration is a Federal matter.

Ditto for guns.  The Province has no legal say in the matter, and of course neither does the city of Toronto

  7. It is mathematically impossible for the human race to be descended from one 'Eve'.

Your question reflects a stone age mentality and is thus rubbish.  BTW Homo Sapiens arrived at its present form  around 200,000 - 1,000,000 yr ago.

Get an education, get a brain, get a life.

Never seen a logical rebuttal in all my 2350 years of life on this mediocre mudball.

Epicurus circa. 350 B.C.  Never seen anybody refute him  yet.

I am proud to be  a fan of the late Christopher  Hitchens who said "religion poisons  everything".  He was 100% correct.

  9. Racism is indeed innate as we can see from our primate cousins who instinctively  are aggressive to 'strangers'.  However that doesn't mean we have to give in to our animal impulses.

As far as the atomic bombs over Hiroshima & Nagasaki, even Japanese historians admit that they saved more lives they took.

USA had two choices.  One, drop the bombs killing maybe 100,000 and end the war,  or, invade Japan which everyone agrees would have likely resulted in a million deaths on both sides.

BTW the non nuclear incendiary single night of  bombing of Tokyo produced far more deaths.

Further uneeded proof that war indeed is Hell.

  10. Most hard line Socialists aka. Communists would agree with you about redistributing wealth.

Russia practiced it from 1917 to 1989.  It is believed that the USSR murdered around 150,000,00 of its own citizens.

China started in earnest circa 1949 under Mao who boasted of killing 54,000,00.  China ended up killing around 100,000,000 by the end of the 20th century.

All in the name of equality, income redistribution, and the 'Dictatorship of the Proletariat '.

Nowadays we have Venezuela where Communism is starving its citizens, confiscating properties, and people are resorting to dumpster diving.

Other than the facts noted above, yes indeedy, income redistribution works wonderfully well (/sarc)
