  1. Normally I couldn't gibe 2 shits about politics. But Trump has forced me to tune in.

Trump is a brilliant intelligent man worth billions who wants to make the USA great again.

He is the only candidate not seeking the presidency for cash.

He is the only candidate paying out of his own pocket to get the job, and he will do the job for free.

He will not be controlled by billionaires unlike the rest of the present candidates and past presidents. Hell, JP Morgan knew a long time ago to buy both parties.

  2. Thanks! I'm excited to be helping out, Ike.

A few points... this will be on a trial basis. I won't even have super-powers. I have been asked by Mike and Charles to help promote good discussion, discourage people from bad behavior, and generally be a snitch and goody two-shoes.

I'd like to start the ball rolling on this by inviting everyone to tell us how they spent their Christmas break. Ike, why don't you share first?

    -k

I don't take breaks. This must be a highlight of your life, Kimmy. Facilitator of an internet forum . WHOA!!!!! Gives me goose bumps. Its's something, along with being a well known Hollywood celebrity that will elude me in life. Shucks.

  3. Mostly people get insulted because you don't agree with them. Mostly they're progressives, and progressives think all their ideas are good and noble and righteous and for the betterment of all personkind, so how could anyone possibly disagree? If you disagree then clearly you're a horrible person. Also, progressives prefer to 'not judge' which is weird given how extremely intolerant they are of people who don't act like them. Well, if they're White.

Of course they have much lower standards for anyone not white, western and christian, which they like to pretend is 'tolerance' and so they get deeply offended whenever people judge those other groups for the things they do without, you know, understanding that they're simply not as civilized as white people and should be excused. Progressives call this 'being open minded'. Others call it liberal bigotry.

You are somewhat correct. When I burn garbage the progressives think I am destroying the world for their grandchildren. It compels me to burn more and then they drive away in their massive SUVs all angry and all on their quest to save the earth. I laugh at them.

  4. I would like to try all of the beers that you guys have suggested! Unfortunately, here in Kim City the liquor stores don't always have the greatest selection.

Have you ever had Bud Light? It's crisp and very refreshing, especially when you're thirsty.

  5. Younger people are used to a high standard of living now. They're used to living in their parent's nice house driving a nice automobile and flying somewhere nice on vacation once a year (or more). My parents never traveled outside Canada or the US until they were retired. They didn't have many luxuries growing up. At Christmas they got a doll or sled, not a PS4. A lot of them expect to have a similar lifestyle starting out, which is impossible, their parents worked decades to built that kind of standard of living

I've known a lot of young people who have racked up some really stupid debt, like charging 20k worth of crap on their credit cards over a few years that they didn't have so they can take vacations and whatnot. Outrageous.

Our economy is artificially inflated, increasingly depending on credit card debt, mortgages, and federal debt spending to ensure growth. That's should be very, very troubling to us. Our economy is essentially being maintained based on money that we don't have, but it has to catch up one day.

Banks have created money out of thin air for over a century. Nothing will happen. The world will continue to spin.

  6. Apparently, we don't need any oil any more.

Of course we need oil. Always will as far as I'm concerned. I change my own oil and discard the oil wherever I want. Oil is natural and used oil should be returned to nature where it can purify and form clean oil that can be enjoyed by future generations.

  7. hefty hikes for electricity? Based on what? Even if the 2030 complete coal phaseout date was expedited... No taxpayer payout needed for coal-fired power shutdown in Alberta. The Alberta climate change plan intends to provide 1/3 of the replacement for coal through natural gas (for baseload) and 2/3 through renewables. That Alberta government figures show that, based on similar usage, the policy will cost roughly $470 in increased heating, electricity and transportation costs for an average household in 2018... in line with the revenue nature of the policy, the government stated rebates would be available to cover some of those costs to Albertans. Again, "hefty hikes based on what"?

I don't think humans are accelerating climate change. Personally, I don't care if we are. I will continue to burn my garbage 5 days a week. We all have to go sometime. I'm Ok with rising sea levels.
