Ok. Liberals say- 'We're tryin g to represent the popular opinions of Canadians'. Conservatives say 'We're trying to represent the popular opinions of Canadians'. They happen to be conflicting on everything. Canada, like hte States, has two majorities: Centre and Right of Centre. There arn't enough socialists in Canada to even consider that plastic man Jack Layton without laughing or making a joke. Even I can't help calling the man plastic. No one seriously thinks what th NDP believes in is entirely right. Addmittedly, they're on to something SOMETIMES, but they're ideas are too far from the Conservative ideals. Thats excluding, what, almost half the voting population. Someone said this before on this thread, I think. -Democracy caters to the majority. Majority wins. Catering to minorities, like the NDP, is stupid. NDP thinks that true diversity is working for people who look different.

Canadian's seem like sheep to me, these days. Our government comes under fire for THEFT of our own money, and people rush to the support of the same jerks that have had control of the goverment (basically unchallenged) for 40+ years ( minus the 8 Mulroney sat through). Chretien has been a descision maker since the sixties- thats too much power for far too long. When it comes to politics, everyone should have an expiration date. Though I find the American system to be faulty in many places, they have it right when it comes to kicking Presidents out after two terms and electing judges (so they're impartial judiciary is acctually impartial). We seem like sheep because we blindly follow the one protecting us from the perceived wolves, those damned Conservatives. We'll believe anything our Liberal herders tell us- that they'll run us into the ground and take away human rights, yadda yadda. I'm not saying the PC's are better, I just find it appalling that people buy into the b.s. they feed us. This Inquiry will end like the Micheal Jackson case. Everyone suspects somethign- just look how shady they are! Noone will get the axe though. Shame.
