Recent European scandal with secret CIA’s prisons is far from finality

From all appearances recent European scandal with secret CIA’s prisons is far from finality. Surely, it is rather difficult for Bush administration to fully relinquish an idea of such objects’ deployment on the territory of other countries.

Now Washington has decided to turn its regard to such neighboring state as our Canada, which could become a very suitable place for CIA’s prisons after US failure to deploy them on European territory. And there is no mere chance that our Defense Minister, Gordon O’Connor has suddenly lost his job. I think he has simply declined US offer and on the instant has been replaced from his post. It is clear that G. O’Connor has forfeited his post for his categorical denial.

Well, USA is well-known axe-grinder. There is a rumor that for help, rendered to Canada in Arctic’s exploration (we have no own large ice-breakers) Washington has proposed a certain plan of US nuclear waste disposal in Canadian land for our officials. What will be our authorities’ reaction this time, I wonder?

There is reason they chose states such as Poland and Romania, two former Soviet satellite states which will appreciate greater U.S investments, and as an added "bonus" they are without the fully vigilant legal system we are accustomed to, not to mention internal security services which are more more leniant towards the "old ways" of doing business.

Now that they are exposed, chances are they were moved further east, to Turkey, or Georgia.
