Is it better to have a diplomatic approach, or more militaristic approach, is so how tough should it be? Can the west do much about these atrocities, and is their anyway that these atrocities can possibly be prevented outside of the use of military action? myata Posted January 9, 2007 Report Posted January 9, 2007 The best way to deal with oppressive regimes is the same as we deal with violent crime: with slow but certain prosecution of individuals responsible. ICC mandate should be extended to prosecute all cases of crime on mass or international scale. This mandate should, of course, include prosecution of initiators of illegal wars.
