Canadian Blue Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Care to elaborate a little bit more of the "scam" which is Global Warming. Why is it that so many scientist are so stupid on the subject? Global Warming is real, and I think we ought to make changes in our lifestyles to help the environment. There is no global warming out side of anything that is not historical. Nor is there any proof of man made global warming. The scam is that man is cauing global warming. There are plenty of scientists that disagree with man made global warming and offer up the reasons why. Those that claim global warming offer up compertor models that pedict the future but can't match the known historical records. You can make all the changes you want but it change a thing. In fact go out and some of those personal carbon credits so you'll feel better. Quote

jbg Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Care to elaborate a little bit more of the "scam" which is Global Warming. Why is it that so many scientist are so stupid on the subject? Global Warming is real, and I think we ought to make changes in our lifestyles to help the environment. The belief in the need or the ability of man to change their behavior to affect climate goes to the core of the scientists' role and effectuality. It also goes to the core of liberal politicians' "command and control" mentality. If "scientists" found that there was little or no human effect, there would be no funding for further studies. Thus, almost anything "peer reviewed" bust be taken with a jaundiced eye on this subject. Quote Free speech: "You can say what you want, but I don't have to lend you my megaphone." Always remember that when you are in the right you can afford to keep your temper, and when you are in the wrong you cannot afford to lose it. - J.J. Reynolds. Will the steps anyone is proposing to fight "climate change" reduce a single temperature, by a single degree, at a single location? The mantra of "world opinion" or the views of the "international community" betrays flabby and weak reasoning (link).

Your link merely says he's being investigated regarding illegal immigration. In any event, I think you might consider the facts of his statement and refute them, rather than simply dismissing him. The latter is less convincing. Quote "A liberal is someone who claims to be open to all points of view — and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view.” William F Buckley

cybercoma Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 It is hard to believe anything that comes out of this guy's mouth. His criminal behaviour disqualifies him from being credible. Christopher Monckton, a former adviser to Lady Thatcher when she was prime minister, is at the centre of a criminal inquiry into claims that hundreds of eastern European migrants were brought to Britain on bogus visas. The friend said: “Christopher hardly fits the profile of a mafia consigliere . . . He thinks there may be a vendetta against him because he has a track record of embarrassing the Home Office when it has previously tried to take action against this company. This is a spurious investigation and he is confident it is going nowhere.” Regardless, this hardly has anything to do with his scientific ability or the facts he presents in the article. Maybe he did do something illegal at one time, but the burden is on you to prove the information in this current study is erroneous. Quote
