Yes it is embarrassing.  A guy gets voted out of his seat and needed to travel 2,000 miles to the safest riding they could find to get him back in the house 4 months later.  Take your political hat off for a minute....  there's something not right about that.

Well at least he did not pull a carney and fire the MP on some made up story.... that was in a liberal safe seat, then steal his riding, i did not see any liberals stand up and volunteer their seats to Carney...liberals don't do things like that instead they have to be sneaky and pull the old you your fired here is the story we made up, and then he has not even bother to set up a HQ in his riding...

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

No, you are. For claiming Canada is a mess.
I'm one of the ones willing to fix things that need fixing and not just pi55 and moan that someone else didn't.
Exactly what I've stated over and over again, the man and his Party do not offer any alternatives or solutions. Every claim of 'common sense' ones isn't.

That is an absolute lie. You have been applauding the very actions that I've lead to the disaster that Canada faces and you have no interest in fixing any of the problems. All you want to do is adhere to your ideology even when science is showing that it's false

So, lets see if you've gotten any better at math since the last time you were wrong.

4 elections and 4 leaders plus one repeat leader.  That would either be 5 leaders or 5 elections.

NOPE!!  You still can't do basic addition :) LOLOLOL

And PP just won.  So there you go :)

I love how Liberals are suddenly concerned about money.

We have a long-term downtrend in our wealth, with GDP per person going down repeatedly in the face of massive importation of poor, unskilled people from the third world. Foreign investment has fled. We have a housing crisis. Ethnic enclaves are growing and starting to elbow each other and position themselves for power as Canada becomes more divided. We've had eleven years now of progressively larger budget deficits. There is crime and disorder in the streets. The healthcare system continues to deteriorate. Unemployment is rising rapidly even as we continue to bring in hundreds of thousands of foreign workers. It takes at least a decade for companies to get through all the paperwork and approvals to do anything from building pipelines to opening new mines to building a factory. Our legal system is so bureacratic it takes three years to get people to trial after arrests and we're simply dropping the charges on tens of thousands of cases every year because we ran out of time. Our infrastructure is in terrible shape all across the country. We have EV mandates that are impossible to fulfill, and the government is diverting billions to pointless, useless carbon reduction programs. Taxes are high and continue to rise. We have open borders letting in tens of thousands of 3rd world migrants every year. We don't even know how many are here.

And this topic is full of lefties who, just like our legacy media, are sneering at Poilievre because he's complaining about it.

You are, none of you, serious people.

You keep saying that at the same time as you say the Conservatives should have replaced their leader after one loss - again.

I like this because it's such a lovely display of the kind of arrogance you find from the Left.  Ontario guy is shown as a banker type with a nice suit and coat. Alberta guy is some hick with a cowboy hat wearing patched clothes. This is how urbanites see themselves, as sophisticates compared to the 'hicks' who, well, uh, work for a living. Average household income is actually higher in Alberta than Ontario even though the cost of living is lower. Ontario's poverty rate is higher than Alberta's. Alberta has a budget surplus and less debt than Ontario. But urbanites of the left continue to sneer at the 'hicks' who just aren't as wise as they themselves are, living in their tiny, overpriced boxes in the sky and worrying about how they're going to pay for food.

Pierre had a great speech yesterday, putting forward a strong platform for Canadian prosperity.  I won’t even be mad if Carney steals some policies again if it means a better Canada.

All PP has ever done is complain. As a former boss (and so many bosses also) said, don't come to me with complainants all the time, come to me with solutions...and PP does not do that.

You clearly miss the point. The conservatives have lost 4 elections, with 4 leaders. Perhaps the conservatives need to find a leader that most Canadians can believe in and see as a leader of the country. So far they have not and now, they have the same one that lost as a leader again.

What does PP need a platform for...he has no power and is not the government and , all the things he said are already being done LOL

I think the word you’re looking for is criticize, particularly bad policy which is literally his job as official opposition.  He’s had no legislative power so he can’t pass legislation.

He’s the official opposition.  He absolutely needs a platform, it’s part of his job.  No, much of what he said isn’t being done, or it’s being done in piecemeal.  Why do you criticize somebody with no legislative power more than a party that’s been in power for over a decade and made everything worse?  Is politics a team sport to you?

No, I used the correct word...complain.

He has as much legislative power as any other member of parliament so he can put forth legislation.

Passing legislation is a vote in parliament.

If he was running in an election...he needs to have a platform to run on. As an opposition member he does not need a platform as he has no power or authority.

I am fully aware how long the liberal party has been in power. I am also fully aware how long the present leader has been in power. I am equally aware of how much behind closed doors negotiations has been going on and will go on for a while so, it is difficult to criticize or complain until some results are known. I do not have a security clearance to be read into what is going on so I cannot complain or criticize on status...oh wait...neither does PP. LOL

The question is, why have the conservatives not been in power in over a decade??? Is it because they have not had a leader that Canadians trust or believe in? 4 elections and 4 losses.

I truly believe had Rona Ambrose been selected or made Conservative leader, the conservatives would have been in power after the first liberal term.

PP won and you're big mad, but surely even YOU can still count to four?

Comical thread!

Congrats to the diehard conservatives who have now convinced themselves they won something.  Haircut loses his seat 3 months ago and taxpayers had to spend $2M to get him a win in the safest riding they could find.  A ballsy guy little PP is...

You've lost so often that you've now convinced yourself you won something with Poilievre's byelection win....priceless.

None of it, it's YOU guys who are disagreeing with it.

Yet strangely had no problem with the cost of proroguing parliament and then the cost of a snap election to install your guy even tho there's still almost a year left in the term and you were only doing it to try to take advantage of the timing ;) LOLOLOL

And we're supposed to take it seriously that you're 'deeply concerned about a lousy 2 million.
