August1991 Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 People and languages are one thing. But pipelines and electricity another. 1 1 Quote
August1991 Posted June 6 Author Report Posted June 6 Years ago, I worked in an Edmonton auto-parts warehouse. I quickly understood that northern BC is like rural Alberta. ===== Edmonton is a fake urban centre. Quote
Moonbox Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 In hockey, I usually play centre. Last night, they made me play defense. ==== Hockey is not the same as mexican food. 2 1 Quote "A man is no more entitled to an opinion for which he cannot account than he is for a pint of beer for which he cannot pay" - Anonymous
ExFlyer Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 I am from the West and lived in Alberta for 8 years. The West and Alberta have complained about mistreatment from Ottawa since I was a kid...peak misery was when Trudeau Snr was in power. When all is said and done, BC and Alberta are their worst enemy. Currently, Alberta wants to sell it's oil and everyone agrees that we have oil to sell and can make better deals than we can with e Americans. Lots if talks about all of the sudden, BC says they do not want any more pipelines. Oh and all of the sudden, the indigenous seem to have the power...? As for Quebec....they have never been able to get along with anyone. 1 Quote You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to tell others what theirs should be.
herbie Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 What's with this sustainable bullshit again? You think maybe because Carney's a banker he'll decide it's not a profitable enterprise he'll liquidate the country, sell it to the highest bidder? Quote

Rather than constantly dumping on our country because of your partisan views, just leave if it's that bad. My guess is that you contribute very little to nothing socially to make your community and country better so rather than complaining about the country every day, just leave. Be sure to renounce your citizenship on the way out.... Quote

Quote My guess is that you contribute very little to nothing socially to make your community and country better so rather than complaining about the country every day, just leave. You guessed wrong, but that's not surprising because you're clearly not a clever individual. Not many people in Canada host/volunteer at more community events than my wife and I do. We are easily in the top 1%. And what do you do aside from wave the pom-poms for vax-fascism and ignore the plight of the vax-injured? Quote Be sure to renounce your citizenship on the way out.... I can start with the social progress we've made - social acceptance, increased diversity and improved health care access. How about our technologial innovation (AI & Space exploration), or environmental protection in the way of climate action, conservation efforts and sustainable practices. I'm sure those mean very little to you in the politically bias and contrarian world you appear to live in. Sourpuss....seriously lol Good to see that you do something in the community with your civic participation. Hopefully you leave your effed up political views at home when you do that. And no, I don't wave vaccine pom poms but am smart enough to know that they save lives....an estimated 154 million lives in round numbers. And yes, admittedly the 0.056% of people who have had adverse affects....not on my radar or thoughts. So again, get your sorry ass out of the country if it's that's bad... 1 Quote

Everything east of New Westminster is conservative country, bigtime. Trudeau would never show his face in public in Surrey again after the treatment he got there, and it's not that long ago that the red cancer went as far east as Cloverdale. He even had campaign events cancelled in Surrey. He literally has to walk around with a large escort of as many as 40 cops.
