There are many important things you will not know about God and what he said in his word, the Bible. If is entirely your choice, but I just mention it really for your benefit. The Bible makes it clear one cannot really know God except through his Son, Jesus Christ. 3 hours ago, Army Guy said: there is no where were it states that if you don't god will not receive you.. There are things taught in the Bible that are of vital importance to one's eternal destiny. God has chosen his word and missionaries to go out into the world to deliver the vital soul-saving message. The message briefly is that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die for the sins of mankind, and if one receives him as his Lord and Savior and believes Jesus died and paid the price for his sins personally, he will have eternal life. The Bible teaches that a person must do that to receive eternal life. So unless one does that and establishes that relationship with God through faith in his Son, God will not receive him. The Bible teaches that plainly. One must believe on Jesus and know him as his Savior to be saved. "3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. " John 3:3 KJV " 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. " John 3:16 KJV " 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. " John 3:36 KJV "6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. " John 14:6 KJV This is why missionaries went out into the far corners of the world and risked their lives. So the Bible is vitally important to understand God's plan for mankind and how to know God. Without that knowledge of what God said in his word, it is impossible to know the truth. Something to think about. Edited May 29, 2025 by blackbird Quote

To tell the folks that lived on the land long before Christ was born . . . tell them about three strange people riding on animals they've never seen before, following some star, with strange gifts, to worship a baby. To tell those folks that have lived on the land that everything they knew about 'their' creator was wrong and they'd burn up if they didn't do what the missionaries said . . . The missionaries were selling 'their' brand of creator just like you do in every thread you post in. You don't need the church/organized religion to be in touch with the Creator . . . Quote

Again, I never said you need the church/organized religion to be in touch with the Creator. But you do have to believe what the Bible says about how you become a son or child of God. "Unique among all books ever written, the Bible accurately foretells specific events-in detail-many years, sometimes centuries, before they occur. Approximately 2,500 prophecies appear in the pages of the Bible, about 2,000 of which already have been fulfilled to the letter—no errors." herbie Posted June 14, 2025 Report Posted June 14, 2025 Coins with Chickie's head on them are finally showing up here in the boonies. We're used to getting the last of the old stock in everything from milk to appliances, even to coins. You can even find unsold 2023 trucks on the lot for only $10,000 more than the original 2023 price! But you can check autogouger.ca these days for cars that appreciate the more they're used/ Quote
