He will start next year. Probably in Septober or maybe a bit later in Octember. As we all know he will first have to retrieve all twenty twelve dancing runes and success will also depend on the horn players finding enough Ricola.

First he will claim that Canada is working against the US creating mistrust of our neighbors to the north. We will continue to do provocative things to Canada just short of invasion and destruction to the point Canada feels they need to strike first. Once attacked we declare war on Canada and start putting Canadians in camps which will take down a good chunk of the Hollywood elite. 

As the war wages on we hold back just enough to make Canada think they have a chance so that Trump can declare martial law. After taking full control and then with the military behind him he dissolves the Congress claiming it is working against his war on Canada causing more American casualties and claims this will only be temporary.

Once he has dissolves Congress he stops holding back and crushes Canada in mere days and then takes full control, telling Canadians they are now Americans. Canadians cheer because they know America is an obviously better country.

Trump then deports anyone not white to Europe and lets them deal with it under threat of invasion if they don't take them. Once Europe is overwhelmed with immigrants he will get with his greatest ally, Putin to start invading Europe and we back him and starts WWIII. Once we crush Europe, which won't be hard because they never pulled their weight in NATO militarily and without our support it will not take long to get Europe under Putin's thumb.

At that point Elon will have developed a way to download a human consciousness into an immortal robot which he will install Trump into and at that point Trump will declare himself dictator for life.
