First off, y'all voted liberal so how's that working out for you?  

I mean this is absolutely horrible. We desperately need doctors and 30% are considering fleeing because of this. Not to mention the fact that even if we didn't need them it is absolutely disgusting that huge numbers of people can be driven out of Canada for racism.

Something is very wrong with that. They are not even 1% of the population.

I think he was saying 30% of Jewish doctors were considering leaving Canada. Jews make up 400,000 people, just just under 1% of the Canadian population. Nearly half of the Jews in Canada live in the GTA. Montreal's Jewish community numbers about 90,000.

Other communities in Canada:

Vancouver 35,000

Ottawa 15,000

Winnipeg 14,000

Calgary 9,000

Edmonton 5,000

Hamilton 5,000

But he didn't say 30% of jewish doctors. He said we need doctors and 30% are fleeing. Or does he mean we need jewish doctors?

What is it with these large public service unions anyway? I realize that unions can't be blamed for the conduct of some of its members, but in many cases the antisemitism that seems to be so prevalent comes straight from the top. Are not unions supposed to be looking out for the best interests and welfare of all their members??? I belonged to a relatively small union for over 30 years. Never seen or heard of anything like this. Not a peep. Why aren't these union officials who preach all this antisemitism bullshit thrown out?

They make up a disproportionate portion of the medical community but you can read the article if you actually care about the answer. If you're too lazy to educate yourself....  heh well i shouldn't say 'if' i guess...

You have to remember that most unions are socialist entities at the best of times. And the vast majority of unions seek political power more than they seek power for their members this is one of the reasons why they fight so hard against Automation and stuff, they're not worried about losing membership they're worried that it won't grow as fast and they'll lose political power.

Honestly we need a brave politician to step up and reduce the union's power and keep them focused on dealing with employers and not with politics.
