Social Security is on its way to insolvency in the next decade, and it is already a Ponzi scheme. But yeah, let's worry about Musk's desire to make the bureaucracy more efficient.

But it seems that Social Security in the US has been on shake ground for some time and historically both parties have been afraid to address that issue.

Billionaires and the GOP making cuts to programs like social security, medicare, and veterans benefits. Once again, cutting programs for the weak and vulnerable, so billionaires will pay less tax.

America is a sick country, and the people need to rise up, and revolt now, before it is too late.

I am very skeptical about DOGE.  Although I think it's very possible to fix the bureaucracy (and trust me, I know about these things) there are only a few ways to do this.  The best ways, some of them, are very painful.

And the savings are nothing like what's advertised.  But if it works, we will have a new approach to fixing government.  It IS possible, don't hope for failure.

You have every right to be sceptical, Michael. Knowing the history of Musk and Ramaswarmy, who became rich by either playing the system, or in Ramaswarmy's case, borderline criminal activities. 

Here's a spoiler. It's not going to work. All it will do, is accelerate the gap between rich and poor. America is moving towards a trajectory, that will see the nation mimic what it was like living in Russia, before the Bolshevik revolution. People eventually rose up, and took over the government.

I don't see them gutting SSC, but I do see them shutting it down, which would be fine. It'll force Americans to do their own retirement planning.

SS/Medicare are NOT "entitlement programs," they are paid FOR by workers and paid out TO workers over 65 based on their employment HISTORY. Duh
