I was saying this in 2020, as were a lot of other conservatives, all virus eventually weaken. Why? Because the stronger variants kill the host before the host can reinfect. 

But all you libs had to freak out and act like it was the end of the world. Had we continued to work, the weaker variants would have dominated sooner and fewer people would have died.

I got it, the last one I got didn't hurt me and I got 20 dollars for getting the combo covid and flu.

I went to my local grocery store to pick up my prescription and they said if I got both shots they would give me a 20 dollar credit on my shoppers card. I pretty much got paid to get the shots.

I didn't get it. I retired a year ago but while I was working, I had to get the jab. At our small company of about 25 people I was the only one that did not get covid. I haven't had it yet (touch wood).

Flu and COVID a couple weeks ago the day they became available. As I understand it the COVID booster for this last shot will be 6 months from now. I can't wait. People are dropping like flies from one thing or another at work. It's the same thing every year. I've had little more than a mild case of the sniffles every couple of years or so for 15 years now.

A shingles shot and booster about 13 years ago resulted in the complete cessation of herpes symptoms I used to get when I was younger. Herpes is related to chickenpox and shingles and the vaccine seems to have made it go away. My doctor says I probably still have the virus but in the way I also still carry chickenpox virus, which is to say harmlessly. I know a couple of other people who had the same benefit.

I've been getting vaccinated on a regular basis every year since my cardiologist told me don't get sick. Flu, shingles, pneumonia, COVID... I've read a couple of articles that point to the possibility that an ongoing program of vaccination helps maintain your immune system in a steady state of yellow to orange alert against things in general.

I'm a believer.

I just received my 4th COVID shot yesterday. I had initially done my two shots in 2021, then a 3rd booster in mid 2023. I figured it was time for my 4th. Better to be safe than sorry. 

My shoulder is slightly sore, where the nurse injected the shot.

It's a little odd how we often hear the argument that you shouldn't call something a vaccine if you need to keep coming back for more shots.  It's more like a treatment or something. I suppose in some sense it is but in either case why get so pissy about needing regular COVID jabs but not regular flu jabs?

Are we talking about now or back in the day? When covered was running rampant I got the shots and the booster. I was aware that there were concerns about the safety but I was in and at risk a group and I felt that the danger was sufficient to justify the risk of the shot. Haven't been younger or not in an at-risk medical group I probably wouldn't have. But all things considered it probably was the best choice even knowing what I know now, although I never did get covid.

I certainly wouldn't bother now. The current variant doesn't seem to be anywhere near as lethal

And how many were in this same position, forced to get it to continue working?  The initial claim was that it would keep you from getting covid, with over 80% efficacy.  3 weeks of mask wearing to neutralize the spike, what a load of BS.

And many programmed Canadians would still defend that garbage.  Any business introducing a product that failed so miserably would go bankrupt.
