Denied those childhood life lessons running from police dogs and firehoses...
Got to live in Projects that weren't built by communist govts...
Never got pulled over for driving while black when you could only afford the back of the bus..

I see it as Still Hillary Clinton, trying to look like she was down with the black people.

Sure, the only two times that exist in history for black people is slavery or this moment    LOLOL You are such a dumbass  

America was great when they threw off slavery and ended it. That was a  great achievement. 

America was great when they passed the civil rights acts of the 60's. They saw an injustice and they worked hard to right it and pave the way for a brighter future. 

America was great when they put an end to segregation (which some blacks want back for some reason today but whatever).  

America was great when rosa parks stood up and said "no". 

American was great when King gave his "I have a dream" speech

 

American history is FULL of times when america was great for black people. It was never perfect, it is not perfect now, for whites, blacks, browns, or checkered.  But it has ALWAYS made great leaps and bounds and it has always done amazing things to bring about change.

Now it's all about arguing where men are  allowed to pee. Nothing great about that. 

But - they can be great again. They can do more, built more, improve, make huge steps, go to the moon and do these other things NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE EASY, BUT BECAUSE THEY ARE HARD.

 

American has been one great achievement after another. In a few hundred years it has progressed more than most societies do in a thousand. It is truly incredible. 

That is a legacy to be proud of, ESPECIALLY if you're black.

I guess the problem that black people have with her is that she's actually not 'one of them', and it IS cultural appropriation for her to pretend that she shares the same alleged problems that people from the hood have. She was born on 3rd base, she never hit a triple to get there, and she didn't steal home either, she blew her way home.

I don't understand how skin color can automatically make you more aware, than someone who is white, who grew up in the same environment. Researched far more heavily, on the history. I mean, being black, doesn't automatically make you aware of black issues.

Never once entered a night club or restaurant wondering if I'd be treated differently, which I know all of my Asian and black friends (very few) did. That must be unsettling.

She lived the experience. Not heard of or read about, lived.
I know even having Italian blood and hearing the star player with the football team's name pronounced wrong on the TV for 2 decades and if you said it right to your cuz the whole room looked at you like you were weird was unsettling. Even having to spell your last name for hundreds of people your whole life to people that can't figure out one more than 5 letters is. As are traditions like the 1st son get the father's name, the 1st daughter the mother's name and they're referred to by their 2nd name their whole lives is annoying when you're f*cking retired and some minion claims the name is not your 'real' name...

That's how all people of colour will be better off with Harris than another rich old white guy.

it ain't going to get better as this goes on i suspect.   LIke i kept saying previously, August was probably the best it was ever going to get for Kammy.  After that it gets harder and she will have very few opportunities to increase her polling. 

Kammy was up over trump by 1.9 points, and now over the last several days has fallen to 1.3.  AND most of those losses happened in the battlegrounds. Look at the trend lines

Trump hit bottom and is now climbing back up.  Kammy peaked at the dnc and is now barely holding steady with trump hot on her heels.  Realclear is already showing trump as the most likely winner again if the election was tomorrow. 

He's got the momentum  -  and tomorrow there's the debate. 

 

So if she starts to slide or trump gets ahead, where does she get the chance to correct that?  What's the next opportunity moment? There's no more debates other than the vice presidents and I don't see that going well for them. She can't do media press conferences.  She doesn't draw well enough for mass rally events.  So where does she pick  up the energy to climb?

 She can't. If she slides it's over for her unless trump does something stupid.  The only thing the dems could do to win at that point would be to fire biden entirely and install her as 'princess kamala, first black female president' and try to ride that momentum till the end, but i doubt biden would go along with it willingly.

What we're seeing is that intitally the mushy middle got excited about her and left trump and the polling numbers went up, but pretty quick they're taking a look and starting slowly to go back to being undecided or for trump. 

He has NOT won yet by any stretch of the imagination and god knows what laptop they're going to find before the end THIS time, but his position is much more favorable over time than hers and she just does NOT have a lot of altitude to lose.
