The those folks belong in jail.

Along with Dr Mengele?

A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

True.

But...I don't think this gross abuse of power has anything to do with climate...but more it has to do with income and debt. Pixie-Dust managed to spend like my daughter with my credit card in a mall. Hell some in my own family were collecting CERB. And why not if they wanna just heap it on? And why all the closures? The masking too? None of that made any sense. And don't go outside??? WTF??? So its done and what was the effect?

Small business closures all over the place. Bigger BigBox stores. A massive government debt. They claim they saved lives. Did they? Cancer is the leading cause of death in Canada. Has been for a long time. Check this out.

https://www.macrotrends.net/global-metrics/countries/CAN/canada/death-rate

There's a sliding graph in there that shows a startling thing. Our average death rate from 2019 to 2023 was lower than it was before that and less than projected in the near future.

I think they spent so much that they have to tax the hell out of us to recover. But why did we spend so much and do so much damage, if the death rate hardly noticed The Rona?

that is very obviously the case.  The tax is no where near revenue neutral and as long as it keeps increasing it's the ultimate pyramid scheme.  As long as it keeps going up every year they're giving rebates based on LAST year's rate  THIS year - but collecting THIS year's rate now.

So even if they give it all back which they don't the difference between the years stays in the liberals pockets permanently.  AND they charge GST on the tax as well so as it goes up their gst revenues go up right along with it.

And best of all, the stupid people out there think the gov't is somehow GIVING Them money!!!!!    The gov't takes 20 bucks, and then months later it's like "Hey i hear you're struggling, here's 15 dollars for being a great climate person". "Oh wow, thanks man I really needed it, times are sure tough!" "Yeah well vote liberal, we're the only ones who give you free money".

And the 50 percent of the population that's below average actually line up for them to do it and get violently angry if you suggest it should be stopped.  "THAT MAN WANTS TO STOP TAXING ME!!!!  WE NEED TO MAKE SURE HE"S NEVER IN POWER!!!"  Like, wtf?

Fortunately the latest polling suggests that more and more people are coming to their senses about it.  And i note climate change keeps steadily falling as  a priority for people. It used to regularly occupy the number 2 or 3 slot and now i think it's like 7?

Like i've been saying...

Don't start wars you can't win.

Was there ever any doubt that eventually the public would rebel.

This is a democratic rebellion. Wait till the British style stuff starts.

Well you have to remember,  50% of people are below average.  :)
