Published: Sunday, March 05, 2006 Vancouver was the priority destination yesterday for some Liberals who want to replace Paul Martin as party leader. Vancouver-Centre MP Hedy Fry has already said she is considering a leadership bid. But Joe Volpe, Stephane Dion and Carolyn Bennett were in the corridors of a hotel yesterday, meeting B.C. Liberals from across the province. B.C. party president Jamie Elmhirst said Liberals welcomed the courting. Yesterday's B.C. meeting clashed with the annual meeting of Nova Scotia Liberals in Halifax, which drew several possible leadership contenders."
