The speech attacked (mostly) policies and praised so many people. It had touching moments when talking about the people hurt in the shooting. CdnFox Posted July 20, 2024 Report Posted July 20, 2024 Well if I'm being honest... I just got a chance today to see it. First 20 minutes was epic. Definitely full of sap and saccharin but it hit home and touched on all the right notes. Hearing him discuss what he went through when he was shot was very powerful. But then it went on for a total of like an hour and a half. That's a feature length movie. And a lot of it just wasn't terribly wowing. I feel like if that speech had been 40 minutes and had the first 30 minutes in it and 10 minutes I'm hitting on the worst parts and grievances of Biden and then ended it would have been one of the most classic speeches in history. As it is I think he was losing people a little bit by the end. But still, a good speech overall Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."
