What is the point of your comments??

Is it illegal or immoral to be adopted?

Canada is a land of immigrants.

OK, what is Canada....to you?

Wow, crapping on a guy because he's adopted.

And because his wife is foreign.

What is a typical Canadian, is it a tuque wearing english/ french men with a bottle of maple syrup in one hand and a bowl of poutine in the other riding a moose downtown Ottawa during the bonhomme festival , with a red plaid diner jacket on , and a hockey stick and pair of skates slung over his shoulders...singing i've "been ever where man" by stomping tom connors...Cause i see that everyday here in NB...trust me wait until you see their women....it is a sight for sore eyes...but they can wrestle a bull moose during the rut, and break them in for riding... don't laugh we take climate change seriously here in NB, we are replacing all electric vehicles with moose.

And WTF is a untypical Canadian...

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

Is there a point?

A point in proper perspective, is just a dot. A figment in our imagination, that was made a reality with a bit of pressure from a pen. It could be a period, or an exclamation. Or but a dot on your I, but not to be misconstrued with who I am.

In a happy face emoji, its technically an eye.

A metaphor, if you will, for Poilievre.

He is a leader of a large party, but as human, is just a dot.

And just like that. I made more sense. Point final.

The point is to let the nurses know he's off his meds again.

AG,

At critical moments in our short history, we not only have avoided civil war - we get along.

Other countries and places are different.

Americans celebrate Lincoln. Canadians celebrate Trudeau Snr.

Americans celebrate Obama. Canadians celebrate Laurier.

No we didn't - we had the metis rebellion for starters. Not to mention the plains of abraham where we kicked your sorry friench butts and then the battles that followed before we even bothered getting around to confederation.

We don't get along and we never have.

CdnFox,

1. The Plains of Abraham? Did you know that the Seven Years War was settled with two treaties. The Treaty of Hubertusburg was the most important.

2. Louis Riel: the original show trial.

3. Trudeau Snr let the kidnappers of Cross fly to Cuba.

If anybody was "untypical" Canadian I would say it was PM Pierre Trudeau and his son, PM Justin Trudeau, who both seemed to love Communist leaders like Castro.  PM Pierre Trudeau was the leader of the first country to establish diplomatic relations with Communist China in 1970 when Chairman Mao was in power.   Both Trudeaus squandered taxpayer money like it grew on trees.  They both seemed to oppose support for NATO.  Both Trudeaus won power with large support from their home province of Quebec.  This was not the greatest choice to make for Canada as we have seen and demonstrates a glaring weakness in the democratic system.

So, you are saying being Canadian or un Canadian is dependant on who you like?? Do people have to provide you a list of associates??

All political leaders cozy up to whomever will do the country best. Mulroney did it too as did Deifenbuker and all other PM's. International politics associations is not a determination of who is Canadian or not.

Both Trudeaus got their most support form voters in Ontario, not Quebec.

I know you got your ass kicked and would go on to have your asses kicked again a few times before eventually france gave up it's holdings.

So to pretend we've never had civil conflict is, of course, childish.

2. Louis Riel: the original show trial.

Welllll -  he did actually rise up against the gov't, slaughter people, run amok and such.  But hey, the west got a rail road faster than  it would have out of it so....

What the hell does that have to do with what we're talking about?

No, but I thought the topic here was about whether Pierre Poilievre was un-Canadian.  Am I wrong?

Incidentally both Trudeaus seemed to have a particular interest for Castro and China.  It is not a common Canadian trait.

Quite. It's about him being UNTYPICAL not unCanadian.

Yes, that is the topic but when you indicate some are un Canadian because they like someone you don't changes the topic intent.

Au contraire, there are (were) many Canadians that like(d) Castro. They went there every winter for vacations. There are also many Canadians that still call China home and even live there.

Hence my question to you about requiring a list of who we like to be vetted if we want to be Canadian.

Basically, your comment was a rectal pluck without much thought.

For a start, I would change the immigration system and would not bring in all the people from the third world whose beliefs and culture are totally contrary to our historic culture.  It is destroying Canada.

We've heard that assertion before but it's not even provable, or discernable from general xenophobia.

Immigrants need to come from countries with people who want come here, otherwise we won't get enough.
