willy
After all this is the first real job Harper ever had. Bitter grapes. If PM is his first job, he still did best in the interview process. What does that say about the competion. some of the tight assed homophobic members. This level of debate is sad. Name calling. So sad. Turner is blackballed for speaking out without permission. How quick we forget Parrish, and Kilgour and Desjarlais.

shoop
Totally agreed, but if you look at the elections of 1997, 2000 and 2004 that is basically what they came down to. As much as people claim to be turned off by it, that is what wins elections in Canada. There is no incentive to change because if a party wants to take the high road they will win the moral victory but lose the bigger prize. Is it really worth it? Yea I wasn't referring to just this thread.. all of them turn into this kinda .. "BUT THIS PERSON IS THE LESSER OF THE EVILS CMON MORONZ!!!" kinda stuff. I kind of knew that having sex with AIDS ridden people unprotected will give you AIDS. Is this actually not common sense? I have yet to see a PHA that I didn't think was common sense. I was never against them until you mentioned it... it seems like kind of a waste to me. Let's get away from targetting them at people that are willingly destroying themselves and target them to all those fat kids that need to go play some sports. Hicksey
Really? AIDS is still spreading like gangfire. Every week we're charging someone new for knowingly transmitting it others. AIDS is the easiest disease in the world to beat. All you have to do is stop having sex or sharing needles with people who dont have it. If we did that for a few generations and we would beat it. Those who still spread the disease are the most selfish people in the world. In today's world, if you are sexually permiscuous it is your duty to test regularly and often. If after becoming infected, you still have sex with people who aren't so infected after you should be removed from society because you obviously don't care about their safety. All people with AIDS have to do is stop doing the things with people who don't have the disaease and over time it disappears. We see so many messages about protecting yourself, about not sharing needles and still AIDS spirals out of control. I think PSA's are only barely less useful than used toilet paper. Hicksey, I couldn't agree more. AIDS is the easiest disease to beat. Now I'm sure someone will bitch and complain saying that poor black people don't have access to contraceptives (which are free in our society by the way), or that gay people are 'discriminated' against by this disease. But I think its time to stop being politically correct on this and get to the core issues. Rampant sexual permiscousness and deviant sexual practices are behind AIDS. Stop these things, and AIDS ceases to exist. Stop IV drug users from using drugs too and AIDS cannot possibly spread further. People, both genders now too, have completely responsibility to use protection. And get tested if you've had any 'accidents'! It's FREE! There is no excuse for either a) having AIDS, unless it was a medical mixup or B ) giving AIDS to anyone else, which should be an imprisionable offense (whether you knew or not). AIDS is caused by sharing needles (probably from "shooting up" drugs...something you shouldn't be doing in the first place) or by having unprotected sex with a partner whose sexual history you don't know. Although bringing home a hot girl from a bar after she's had a few might seem like an exciting and fun evening, you don't know where she is from or how much sex she has had. You have got to keep things in perspective. You have got to be smart. Don't have sex with someone unless you're in a committed relationship with them. If you're going to take a chance, make sure you have some condoms on you. They aren't expensive and, while not completely risk-free, are the best bet if you are taking a chance. Good call, there will always be people though with little self-control/self-respect. While they might seem to be a good person (ya know how well you can judge after a few drinks and 10 minuites talking to them), that doesn't mean everyone they've been with is on the up and up. Definitely alot of people blaming others out their for their own ignorance and irresponsibility. It's too bad that so many people have to die because of it.
