Judge Issues Rare Apology In A Rare Victory Against Police Corruption

Recommended Posts

Summary:

- In 2021, an innocent law-abiding accountant is getting into his car with his pregnant wife and toddler, in the middle of the night in underground parking garage at City Hall.  They’re suddenly and aggressively confronted by plain clothes Toronto cops investigating a nearby stabbing, who don’t identify themselves as cops. Thinking they’re about to be robbed or worse, the family attempts to speed away in their car, accidentally running over and killing one of the cops in what is now confirmed to be nothing more than a tragic accIdent.

- The police implausibly alleged that the accountant knew they were police and deliberately hit the man with his car (automatic first degree murder charge for cops) for no real reason as they admit he is a law abiding citizen with no criminal connection or obvious mental illness

- Legal experts were surprised by the decision to prosecute, openly saying it is a political prosecution that never would have happened if deceased had not been a cop

- 3 Cops caught lying on the stand, and are now under investigation by Ontario Provincial Police.   All 3 told the same false version of events that is clearly inconsistent with the video footage and scene evidence, the judge observing while it is possible for one individual to have a false memory of something that didn’t happen, the jury should note that all 3 officers recounted the exact same false memory of very specific things that clearly did not happen.

- After the judge expressed repeated frustration with the prosecution’s refusal to suggest any motive for a deliberate killing and the prosecution’s failure to present a theory of what might have actually happened given the actual evidence, the prosecution advised mid-trial it was switching to a “second theory” of what happened, now  claiming that the officer was actually run over backwards not forwards and in a different location, which was less contradictory to the actual evidence.  But then they couldn’t explain how the cops body ended up where it did it was run over somewhere else.  Then the prosecution said it was abandoning the “second theory” and going back to the first theory, and will proceed based solely on the cops’ bogus testimony. THEY WERE MAKING UP THEIR STORY AS THEY GO WHILE THE MURDER TRIAL IS ALREADY WELL UNDERWAY. That’s how trials might work in Putin’s Russia or North Korea but not in democracies.

- Despite the clearly unwarranted prosecution, Doug Ford, former Mayor John Tory and  Mayor Patrick Brown tweeted incendiary tweets about the falsely accused during the Trump, expressing outrage at his bail, etc. causing him and his lawyers to e inundated with death threats and hate messages

In an extremely rare gesture, after the innocent verdict, the judge apologized to the falsely accused man. “You have my … deepest apologies for what you have been through”

This isn't police corruption. This is just highly incompetent police officers, that put their own lives in grave danger by failure to identify themselves.

I wouldn't stop for someone refusing to identify themselves, either.

If evidence of this can be shown, the law book should be thrown at the officers, as they essentially put those people in danger, needlessly.

This can't be used to label the entire police force. It only exposes that there is corruption wherever there is power, but does nothing to quantify that this is synonymous with policing.

What about the testimony?

Also, for someone who uses a single picture of a woman to discount large groups of people, your assertion that a systemic breach can't be used to label the force is laughable.

You are inconsistent in your application of morality.

You literally fight like a toxic woman, compartmentalizing every single fight, and using a fight for something irrelevant to give you ammo, during current conflict.

When November 15th fails, you throw in the disagreement during the wedding a year ago. When that fails, you point to their subpar character. Unfortunately you're male, so you can't use the hail Mary. Crocodile tears, so you use what works best for you.

Long story short, this is an intervention Michael. I think you should have your sex changed to best align with your debate tactics.

Technically you could then accuse others of sexism and bigotry, at will, when losing a debate.

Also, if you think arguing like a man means generalizing, using caricatures and ignoring my points then

... redacted

Argue like a man OR woman, I don't care.

But you ignored the false testimony then literally called me a girl when I challenged you.

Oh, right, you don't take posting seriously I forgot. 🙄
