BC Premier EBY . . . carbon tax.

Recommended Posts

Guessing BC's premier, David Eby has been given his 'marching orders' from NDP leader Jughead . . . . . 'Do not oppose the pending carbon tax like the other sever premiers'  ??

Nice to see an opposing BC political party rising quickly in the polls . . . BC Conservative Party.  If Keven Falcon would face the fact that he'll never be the BC premier, and throw his support behind the new party, the NDP would be kicked to the curb very quickly.

Guessing you're monstrously stupid.
How many f*cking times do you need to hear that BC had a carbon tax long before Trudeau or Singh? Imposed by the BC (not ) Liberals!

Don't blow another gasket herbie . . . . your devotion to Trudeau, Jughead, and Eby is quite disturbing.  Eby had his chance to demonstrate with his reptilian indifference to the BC voter that he cares about them.

Not nearly as disturbing as your propensity to lie through your teeth either by sheer ignorance or intent.

Eby's a goof . . . only popular in the LML and VI.  Caters to the non-producer paper shufflers.  Jughead's done in the upcoming federal election . . . dry your tears herbie, go shuffle some papers and maybe you'll feel better about your life choices.

I will save my concerns for those capable of opining more than "F*ck Trudeau" and "Eby's a goof".

Nice try.  To link 'F-Trudeau' with 'Eby's a goof' shows the shallowness of your thought.  Eby shot himself in the foot by standing with the two most dispicable politicians in Canada.  Your fondness for that pairsays a lot about you . . . .

The ndp themselves ran on an "axe the tax" platform at one point.

And unlike most fed/provincial parties who share similar names the ndp is actually joined at the hip federally and provincially and the provincial ndp really does have to follow the fed policy as well.

However - the bc carbon tax is a straight up revenue tax - eby can't afford to get rid of it right now.  Dippers are a tax and spend party. It's starting to catch up to the economy tho. Is it any surprise the bc conservatives are surging in the polls?

The BC carbon tax is nothing other than a wealth redistribution scheme, or Socialism.  That's why the NDP love it.  They just said on the news 65% of people will get more in rebates than they paid.   Why only 65% anyway?   I thought the rest of the country according to Trudeau gets 80% back.  BC is being scammed.  I don't believe we get 65% back.

In fact, the amount we get back is carefully kept out of view.  Nobody gets a statement to say what they received and the rebate is combined with a PST or GST rebate of some kind.  It automatically goes into the bank account but for a married couple, I believe it goes into the spouse with the lowest income and the person is not notified.  So unless one is really up on the system and watching their bank account, they won't know how much they are getting.  It is also tied to income, so only low income people receive the maximum in keeping with Socialist-Communist policy.

Trouble is they don't take into consideration the increased cost of groceries and everything else the carbon tax causes.  So it is impossible to know if one is losing money on the carbon tax.  I suspect the majority of people are losing money but it is impossible to prove as it was designed that way.

The NDP is going to impose a long list of new taxes or is already doing so.  So they are giving a small rebate through BC Hydro.  The whole thing is Socialists like to impose all kinds of taxes for everything and then throw some money back to make people feel they are really getting something.  But the high cost of living combined with the highest gas prices in north America simply make living very difficult for many people in B.C.

You say that as if there's something "wrong" about wealth redistribution.

Suck up those buzzwords fast as you can.

You say that as if it isn't obvious that there is.

It's looking more and more like the conservatives have a shot this fall.  That should be interesting. And that's with a split right vote.

If they lose then you can bet the parties will merge and will move farther to the right. And if it's another minority gov't....  the pay back is going to be a serious biatch ;)

The BC carbon tax was introduced by the Liberals, was revenue neutral and capped. The NDP dumped revenue neutrality and put it into general revenue to be spent as they see fit. They now use it for wealth redistribution which is the norm for NDP.

Because they use it for winners and losers. The less tax you pay, the more they give you. Earn more than 61K taxable income, you get nothing. Buying the votes of those who pay the least.

Which in real English means the less tax you pay, the lower your income is so you need the refund more than a wealthy person.
The year after the wife died, I had to pay on her pension payout so I was disqualified from all rebates. Because I was wealthier that year. So be it.
Come up with a newspeak name to make that fact seem like a despicable unfair thing.

So we'll just disqualify you permanently. Along with everyone else. By axing the tax.  So be it.

Funny story - you'll have more money in the end anyway so even tho you think you'll be a loser you'll be a winner. Which kind of makes you a bit of a loser.  :)
