Well...looks like the Ukraine advance in the Kursk region is costing them land along the main front. It looks like this plan is failing badly and now comic-boy is begging NATO/USA for long range weapons. Of course, neither will give such weapons to comic-boy so...it looks like his gambit will fail and the Ukraine military will lose a lot of soldiers. I think the bottom line is, NATO/USA are simply not interested in a direct war with Russia. Oh they're happy to let Russia fight and lose soldiers in Ukraine but...it's also apparent that all the sanctions and this war have only strengthened Russia. However, when you go more west from Finland, the Baltic countries and Poland you notice that nationalists are very much more pro-Russia than pro-Ukraine. I would compare it to how you think about China. For us China is a big and influential country but it is still far away and we don't worry about it too much. In China's the neighbouring countries China is a very big deal indeed and China influences just about everything and many people in those countries hate China passionately.
