Well, can't say I didn't want this to happen, we do need to secure our borders, and if adding to the same barrier walls that Trump added to to help secure them, fine, lets do it. It certainly will do a lot to wreck a prime Republican talking point though.  I visited some of the open border out by Rancho San Diego in the early 2000's,  which is a good distance further East and South of El Cajon, which itself is far to the East of San Diego itself. In fact it can take hours to get there . I had a friend whose father had a ranch out there. He finally, about 10 years ago, had to give it up, hard to ranch your cattle when every other week he would find cows slaughtered for food by immigrants crossing the no barrier border, even with border agents in SUV's parked every 3 miles, there were too many gaps. Even harder though was finding dead immigrants, mostly by severe dehydration, there's no water out there, and in summer very excessive heat, and in winter bitterly cold. So, as much for humanitarian reasons, yes I think its time we closed the border with a wall.

The walls didn't work. Crossings went UP overall and at wall sites. Regardless of how the money was appropriated, I'd prefer that Biden let it languish than waste it on more silly walls.

The border is 2,000 miles long. Trump added 49 miles of new border wall. 
 

Israel has a border wall, but their border is much smaller and their problems were much greater. 
 

The best solution is sending illegal immigrants back, quickly and efficiently.  But Congress refuses to pass laws to do that. Obama tried to but the GOP blocked it over the issue of the “dreamers.”

Biden didn’t remove one inch of Trump’s wall, so if Trump’s wall worked, why do we have so many illegals coming in? Derr!  Cause the wall doesn’t work, eh?

Its easy to ignore the issue, when it doesn't affect you directly.

Nothing wrong with immigration. Am an immigrant, and immigrants overall make up one of the hardest working and most innovative demographic in the US. Proof of many other instances, is the high percentage of immigrants when considering entrepreneurs in the US.

Not only will they work hard, but if they have capital many will even create work. Indispensable for an economy.

People would rather play politics, than fix the problem.

Immigration isn't the issue. Pourous borders, are the main culprit. It opens the door for unintended consequences. 

No country can function or even claim sovereignty, if it cannot even control something as basic as a border.

Of course you can't stop all illegal entries, but when people make a joke of your border, it just projects so many levels of weakness.

The Biden administration and the Libbies undid everything that kept the border secure and reasonable. The Texas  officials put up razor wire...the feds cut it open and help people in. Biden was in the process of selling the rusting wall materials.

NOW...all the sudden...Biden thinks he can pacify his Libbie mayors with this. Yesterday, Democrat Dallas mayor became a Republican out of sheer frustration with the Democrats and Biden.

Walls sit there forever and do their job.

You don't have to ask them to work overtime, they can't be accused of whipping people when they're not, they don't throw tear gas, they can't be accused of racism, they don't get sick benefits and they don't get a pension. 

They just sit there forever and do their job.

Where walls exist, policing the border is easier. You don't need as many dogs , choppers, horses, guns, border agents, etc where there's a wall.

You also end up with less illegal crossings which means less detention centers, lower food and shelter costs, less legal expenses, less deportees coming back, less overcrowding, less homelessness, less drugs, etc. 

Leftards tried to sell walls as racist and ineffective and the proof that they were wrong is streaming across the unwalled sections.
