I do not like humidity and they have none of the outdoor recreation that I am used to finding in NV, ID, OR, WY, MT, or UT. Places like this (below) are what draw me to your state.. FL has none. It's a rough environment, either to visit on vacation or build a business. It is the most beautiful place on earth and has the best elected officials (elected by the best educated populace) but is is no place for people who think things will be easy. If you want to enjoy nature, Florida has the most beautiful natural scenery in the world, but you gotta wear a ton of sunscreen and bug spray. If you like theme parks, Central Florida is MECCA for you, but it has the absolute WORST traffic of all. If you like to just sit and look at the ocean, Florida's coastline is the envy of America. And I'd love taking a small speedboat on those gorgeous mountain lakes. But the winters there are species ending times. At my age now, I may romanticize the beach, but never during the summer and not without a ton of sunscreen on my face. I live on the Gulf coast, and the Gulf is breathtaking. Even though I live 5 km from the border I haven't been across it since the spring of 2020. Haven't missed it a bit. It's been Mexico for me since then, although I am going to Maui this winter with my daughter's family. Her idea, not mine. My first trip to the US in almost 4 years. What separates African blacks from Caucasian whites, is SKIN COLOR. The SUN colors the skin. Maybe Africans are black because they've spent so much time in the sun. Maybe Caucasians (usually from Nordic countries) did not. I'd like to think that we are ALL humans, brothers under the skin. The sun exposure that you get in finland is not as intense as what you would get in Sierra Leone. Back to the arabs and those who live in the extreme climates.. they do so by conserving energy. On a random note.. even native americans knew better than try to live in what we now call Death Valley, Southern Nevada, Central Nevada, or Eastern Oregon. We went to high school in Boise, Idaho. It has always amazed how he is willing to take a not-so-great job in order to live there. He is a glorified janitor for some warehouse. If I can remember right, is some fitness equipment warehouse on the east end of town. Still, graduated in may 1996 and he was in FL by July 1996 and has stayed ever since.
