House votes to cancel Biden’s $400 billion student loan handout

The House voted Wednesday to repeal President Biden’s plan to forgo more than $400 billion in federally backed student loan debt.

Lawmakers approved a resolution disapproving of Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan that was announced last year and is now stalled because of an ongoing legal challenge. The Supreme Court is expected to consider the legality of Biden’s plan later this summer.

On Wednesday, lawmakers voted 218-203 in an attempt to speed up the process and end Biden’s plan through legislation. Every Republican present voted to pass the resolution, along with just two Democrats.

During floor debate, Democrats argued that voting to end Biden’s plan would hurt the roughly 13% of Americans who are likely to qualify for loan forgiveness.

First of all the Democrats are LYING. (No surprise there. Democrats and the retards who vote for them are LIARS.) This is NOT loan forgiveness. Loan forgiveness would be if the college actually made the loan and decided to FORGIVE the loan. This is a $400+BILLION TAXPAYER bailout, basically paying the LENDERS who were stupid enough to loan money to students who went for useless Lesbian Dance Theory degrees and could not get jobs that would help them pay off the loans. This is WELFARE TO THE RICH.

Questions.
1. Why should a TAXPAYER (perhaps one who never attended a university but still makes a good living and supports a family) be required to give his tax dollars to pay off the loans of  people too stupid to get a useful degree and get a job?
2. Why should TAXPAYERS WHO HAVE NEVER BEEN BORN be taxed at 90 percent income taxes to pay this bill (since that $400 BILLION is borrowed, like most of Unelected Joe's WELFARE DEFICIT SPENDING?

Oh, and for the snowflakes here who once again have to deal with opinions that didn't originate from THE VIEW, tough titty. This is a real marketplace for ideas. Only NAZIS would want to shut it down, Frauleins.

At the root of this is the parents starting in the mid-70's telling their kids that they had to get a degree. No matter what the degree is.. just get one. Why? Because the college degree is the only way to escape the dead-end job in manufacturing, retail, restaurant, and health care where you struggle paycheck to paycheck and are physically broken down by your mid-40's. Later on, they were made to be non-dischargeable when it comes to bankruptcy. This makes them price-inelastic.

DEMONAZI speaks. Are you equating public schools with paying off student loans for retards who can't find a job with Lesbian Dance Theory degrees? ARE YOU REALLY THAT STUPID?

To bring you up to speed with those having an education, there is a difference between county tax dollars being paid for public services like schools, police, firemen, etc and BAILING OUT BRATS WHO CANT' FIND A JOB WITH A USELESS SIX FIGURE DEGREE.

Excuse, but parents have been pushing college on their kids as early as the SEVENTIES. Back then college was for occupations like engineering, law, medicine, science, etc.

Do you actually see some kind of market value in a Sociology degree, or a Gender Studies degree? (In the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and most of the 90s, there weren't Lesbian Dance Theory degrees or Gender Studies degrees.) This all started with the Occupy Wall Street movement, made up of a bunch of spoiled brats who ran up six figure degrees and blamed everyone else when they couldn't start out making six figures.

Our society has transformed from manufacturing to information, making a college education a critical pathway to the middle and upper-middle class.

And at the heart of the conflict are those who either lack the mental capacity or who lacked the motivation and drive to go to college, and they now resent all things intellectual: They reject climate change because it comes from scientists.  They reject vaccines because it comes from medical experts.  They embrace myth-spewing religious leaders and political leaders who reinforce their foolishness. They embrace racism because their whiteness is the only thing about them which makes them feel better about themselves.

and what did I write.." in the mid-70's"... Hmm... thinks for repeating me. At least, next time cite your source.

Yes, there is a market for a sociology degree. Is it a big one? Not directly. However, a lot of undergrad degrees are gateways to the graduate degree. For example, for a masters in economics.. you do not have to have an undergrad degree in Economics. At University of Nevada, what undergrad degrees qualify you for the graduate program in Economics? Math, Accounting, Economics, Psychology, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Microbiology. Also, in a lot of workplace settings.. the existence of a degree no matter what it is translates to a pay increase. Teaching is one of them.

Parents pushed you to get a degree so you would keep learning. Even if it was in poetry or lesbian dance, you'd  understand you learned something and didn't have an aversion to learning itself.

Unlike so many that stopped dead once they graduated and ain't gonna learn nuthin' anymore, don't have to.
Or as we see so much on this forum, didn't even get that far.

Who hires Sociology grads? What engineering firm/hospital/law firm/science lab/etc would hire someone who has a sociology degree?

Of course, colleges would be hiring Sociology degree grads all the time, but pretty much ALL the professors at the left wing diploma mills are sociology nuts, so there's probably no openings. At the community college level, there isn't a lot of money to be made, even with the useful degrees.

Math, Accounting, Economics, Chemistry, Physics,  Biology, Microbiology, I REALLY hope you aren't lumping those useful degrees with Lesbian Dance Theory, Trans Gender Theory, Critical Race Theory, and other left wing programs.

I'd say an education degree would be promising, since there is a teacher shortage, but teachers EVERYWHERE btch about their jobs. Either they aren't paid enough or they're treated like crap.

Intelligent people reject human caused climate change because it is based SOLELY on politics and not science. The Climate Change myth is not coming from scientists, but rather from hacks who are PAID for that opinion.

https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/there-is-no-climate-emergency-say-500-experts-in-letter-to-the-united-nations/

A global network of more than 500 knowledgeable and experienced scientists and professionals in climate and related fields have the honor to address to Your Excellencies the attached European Climate Declaration, for which the signatories to this letter are the national ambassadors. The general-circulation models of climate on which international policy is at present founded are unfit for their purpose.

Therefore, it is cruel as well as imprudent to advocate the squandering of trillions of dollars on the basis of results from such immature models. Current climate policies pointlessly and grievously undermine the economic system, putting lives at risk in countries denied access to affordable, reliable electrical energy. We urge you to follow a climate policy based on sound science, realistic economics and genuine concern for those harmed by costly but unnecessary attempts at mitigation

Here are the specific points about climate change highlighted in the letter:

1 Natural as well as anthropogenic factors cause warming.
2. Warming is far slower than predicted.
3. Climate policy relies on inadequate models.
4. CO2 is not a pollutant. It is a plant food that is essential to all life on Earth. Photosynthesis is a blessing. More CO2 is beneficial for nature, greening the Earth: additional CO2 in the air has promoted growth in global plant biomass. It is also good for agriculture, increasing the yields of crops worldwide.
5. Global warming has not increased natural disasters.
6. Climate policy must respect scientific and economic realities.
7. There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic.

Those are the facts. Educated people get that. Only

have a problem with the facts. And they are ALL on the goose stepping LEFT.

I answered your question already. You are showing our bias again. Who hires sociology grads? First, school disricts. Second, law firms in the form of paralegals. Third, any firm that needs a public relations manager.

About this one.. lets go back to my original post.

At University of Nevada, what undergrad degrees qualify you for the graduate program in Economics?

Where did i mention lesbian dance theory? its really a good thing that you do not work in my office. Someone would ask you what is the average wage for college grads in NV and instead of you doing what was asked and giving them a number... you would go off on tangents like this.
