TUCKER CARLSON OUT AT FOX NEWS

The whole thing was about election FRAUD and FRAUDULENT VOTE TALLIES on Dominion machines.

IF the case was winnable, then Fox was foolish to settle. Obviously Dominion had the goods on Fox even if the discovery documents are not available ONLINE.

So Fox Show hosts said some stuff that damaged Dominion to the tune of 787 million.  Only it was never said publicly otherwise you and any lefty would be able to provide quotes and links from the last 2-3 years.

So how again did Dominion suffer damages when nobody heard or saw the private texts and such?  Fox even called Arizona for Biden before anyone else back in 2020.

The allegations of votes being flipped from discovery documents were REPORTED by NUMEROUS SOURCES.

Maybe not enough for those in DENIAL, but that is STRONG EVIDENCE what was reported is TRUE.

Because the private correspondence showed that they knew they were lying.  Their lies caused the damage for which Fox is paying Dominion.

So let’s see these allegations and sources.

Yes, it was reported publicly by Fox News in November and December of 2020 when Fox News repeatedly interviews Sydney Powell and Rudy Giuliani, who both stated numerous lies about Dominion. The text messages simply proved beyond any doubt that Fox News and the Fox reporters and hosts KNEW and BELIEVED that the claims were false. Not only did the text reveal that all of the senior Fox hosts believed the claims were false, Tucker then texted that a Fox News reporter should be fired because she tweeted that the election was not rigged.  There was a deliberate decision that, despite believing and knowing that there was no widespread voter fraud, and that Dominion did nothing wrong, they should FIRE reporters who told the truth about this.

And here’s the news that all of us conservatives were predicting:
https://news.yahoo.com/fox-news-prime-time-ratings-235844832.html

Without the tentpole that Carlson's program provided, the ratings for other Fox News shows were down as well. "Hannity" averaged 2 million viewers, a decline of 20% from the previous week. "The Ingraham Angle" scored 1.56 million, down 12%.

Newsmax appeared to be the beneficiary of Carlson fans looking for an alternative. "Eric Bolling The Balance" pulled in 562,000 viewers in the 8 p.m. Eastern hour, a fivefold increase over last Tuesday when Carlson was his competition

That's brutal.  LIke = really brutal.  A station like fox is only worth what it's viewership is, and that was a massive hit. That's going to cost a HELL of a lot more money than that pay out did if it continues and they don't recover

Again, none of these texts are damaging to Dominion.  Show me some damage.

So why did FOX pay out $787.5 million to keep them out of court?

All of a sudden, "follow the money" no longe applies?

It's what can happen when you build a media empire on bullshit.

Let me mansplain two things:

1) $787 million is a LOT of money.
2) Fox News VOLUNTARILY gave Dominion Voting that money because they were certain they would lose at trial.

Because of the Sullivan v NY Times decision, it is extremely difficult to win a defamation lawsuit. You must prove that the publication lied, that it damaged you; and that the publisher knew the information was false. Yet, Fox News was certain that Dominion would prevail.  In other words, Fox KNOWS that Dominion did not rig the election and they KNOW the 2020 election was not stolen.

Maybe Dominion will sue NewsMax next. We’ll see.  One thing is clear: Fox News isn’t going anywhere.  Carlson was too much liability and they had to cut him.

Carlson wasn't the problem. The internal stuff shows he was against continuing to promote stories that seemed ridiculous.

As you noted, suing news media is very hard. It's not enough that their stories hurt you.  Or that they turned out to be untrue. you have to demonstrate they knowingly and deliberately lied. Carlson pointing out in texts and emails that the story was clearly false put Fox in a position where they weren't successful just saying they were reporting the news or repeating others. But i doubt many other places will be dumb enough to keep records of that now. :)

About what?  He never said there was voting fraud.

Simple Fact: If Fox News hosts hadn’t lied about Dominion, Fox wouldn’t not have paid Dominion $767 million.

Tucker Carlson, on air:

"We don't know how many votes were stolen on Tuesday night. We don't know anything about the software that many say was rigged. We don't know. We ought to find out," he said. "But here's what we do know. On a larger level, at the highest levels, actually, our system isn't what we thought it was. It's not as fair as it should be. Not even close."

“You've heard a lot over the past few days about the security of our electronic voting machines. This is a real issue, no matter who raises it or who tries to dismiss it out of hand as a conspiracy theory. Electronic voting is not as secure as traditional hand counting. Period.”

Maria Bartiromo, in an interview with Sydney Powell:

"Sidney, we talked about the Dominion software. I know that there were voting irregularities. Tell me about that."

Hannity:

“Let's not forget the software error -- we're going to be focused on this a lot -- wrongfully awarded Joe Biden thousands of ballots that were cast for President Trump, until the problem was amazingly fixed. And according to a report, that very same software -- it's called Dominion Voting Systems -- that was used in 28 states."

Again, what did Carlson say?  He roes the party line less than most and his texts show he has his own opinions.

I’m saying he didn’t lie.

And yet, Fox cut a check Dominion for $787 million.  And they settled another suit with a Venezuelan businessman they smeared. And Smartmatic’s suit is coming up.  And Tucker got fired.

So maybe, just maybe… you are wrong, and those words of his were lies.
