That's the slippery slope fallacy.

agreed

bear in mind however, that Red Flag laws result in less than 10 removals per 100,000 gun owners

almost half of Red Flag requests are rejected by the judge

and even if the judge allows it, the average time of removal is only for two weeks

so the effects of Red Flag are being vastly exaggerated by its proponents

I would also assert that prior restraint to abridge the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms based on mental health

that's unconstitutional, just because you might be distraught, that doesn't strip you of your rights therein

furthermore, Fascists & Tankies will invoke "mental health" as a lever of totalitarian repression

so Red Flag laws could be turned against your interests nefariously as well

Oh Christmas came early for republicans finally they have an ACTUAL trans spree shooter unlike the lies they’ve told about past killers

Did a pretty good job too. Unless someone wants to stand in line holding hands with you chanting "There are no tranny mass shooters, there are no tranny mass shooters..." thinking, wishing it to be true will make not it true. I don't see anybody lining up to do it though. Too bad, so sad, your majesty.

Come to think, and speaking of king lies, you might want to check out this one:

"Never mind that 99.9% of mass shooters are straight white males -that’s not a pattern - the ONE trans mass shooter who identifies as a white male “proves”  that trans people are the real safety problem! ?"

That's definitely not true or to those of us who believe wanting something to be true doesn't make it so, it's what we like to refer to as "a lie."

Times change though, right?

The Dems go to sleep at night and wake up in the morning trying to think of new ways to convince the American people of ridiculous things like "Little children have the maturity and wisdom to opt for a sex change and sterilization, but university students lack the wisdom to understand the concept of "paying loans back", and therefor they can't be held accountable!"

In the last 8 years in Canada the Liberal gov't arbitrarily made a lot of guns illegal that were previously allowed for no real reason, they've started to openly discriminate against people and inflict serious punishments on them because of their pseudovax status, and we've even seen people have their bank accounts frozen for donating to a peaceful protest.

No one saw Canada on this trajectory in 2015.

Between Aug 2020 and Jan 2021 the Democrats/American DOJ went from "Let's bail rioters out of jail!" to "Let's keep rioters in jail for two years without a trial!".

Your belief in common sense, reasonability, accountability and the status quo is commendable, but major events in recent history tell me it's completely unfounded.

So the right wing media has claimed the shooter is trans.  You don’t have to go very far at all to find that.   They are doing the happy dance because the right has been looking for a trans boogeyman (boogeyperson?) for years now ever since their Muslim terrorist hysteria kinda wore off.

Some of the MSM are also claiming the shooter is trans or is unconfirmed trans

There are layers upon layers of stupidity in your post.

The shooter is trans, that's been known for a long time now, but the MSM is waiting for the emotion to fade before they allow that connection to be made. They do the same with islamic terrorist attacks. "Just because he yelled 'allahu akbar' before he blew himself up at the Ariana Grande concert doesn't mean that he was a muslim." That confusion sticks with people. The association isn't made.

The shooter's manifesto would have been online within hours of the shooting if there was even one sentence in it that could be editorialized into aiding the Dems' false narratives about "ULTRA SUPER DUPER EXTREME MAGA TERRORISTS!!!!!!!!"

For whatever reason, we aren't allowed to know what it says.

What Bullshit.

So all the kids killed in non religious school shootings were killed because they weren’t Christians. It’s only logical.

In this case the nut bar's manifesto states clearly he killed these kids in retaliation to the laws passed by Christian lawmakers. So yes. Killed because they were Christians.

I asserted that Red Flag laws are unconstitutional

simply being mentally ill in some form or another, cannot be a rubric to abridge your rights

bear in mind, Red Flag has not been tested at the SCOTUS yet

I in fact predict that it will be overthrown in the end

a Judge in Rochester New York has just ruled that Red Flag is unconstitutional

because it simply cannot be that suffering from some sort of illness or distress

is a legitimate reason to negate your God given rights

once again, bad law making by the Democrats will be their undoing

Have you been over at WestCanMan's house watching his TV that shows the future?

No fair, the rest of us have to wait until the "manifesto" is released.

Of course, no outrage over the various mosque and synagogue shootings. Couldn't be because they were Muslims or Jews.

indeed

but logically extrapolated, the consequences of Molotov von Ribbentrop world is the Ostfront

two mass mobilized totalitarian Utopian forces on trajectory to a catastrophic total war of annihilation

I don't think anarchism is a realistic objective in the near to mid term

none the less, faced with Ostfront 2.0, I would choose anarchism over socialism

I simply don't have faith in collectivism not to be captured by the Tankies in the end

I'm not an anarchist, but I would choose anarchy over red fascism too, which I hope is what you meant.

You do bring up a good point, though. In a democracy, we solve disagreements at the ballot box. In an autocracy, they solve things with violence. I don't know if Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union were on an unavoidable path to war with each other, but it does seem likely since authoritarians aren't exactly known for compromise. I wonder if the fascists in America who vote Republican realize that if they win, it's not just going to be their enemies that get purged, it's going to be a lot of them too. A trumpian dictatorship would be purging Republicans that they feel aren't loyal enough. Nazis and fascists would be killing each other over disagreements much like they did in Austria before Nazi Germany took over.

Be careful what you wish for, righties.

Red Flag laws won't stop gun violence, but they will at least reduce it. Same goes for closing all the loopholes, like the infamous gun show loophole.

As for fascists and tankies using mental health as an excuse, I think if America loses its democracy, it wouldn't really matter. If they end democracy like they're trying to, it's not like the law will matter. It's not like having no red flag laws will prevent them from just seizing all of the guns from anyone they want.

Yet you are the ones continuing with frivolous allegations and indictments based on political differences. Sad

That's what the topic is about

You want to talk about Christians being victims but can’t acknowledge anyone from a different religion being a victim because of that religion.

Too bad if you don’t like being called on what is nothing more than an anti trans rant.

When trans ideology calls for the murder of innocent children, you'd be crazy not to go on a rant

Whataboutism isn't really an argument
