Poll: Do you believe the Hunter Biden laptop story had any impact on the 2020 election?

His theory is that Hunter Biden laptop story had an impact on the 2020 election! and he yells this daily, that I can hear him through my computer screen. 

What is the Hunter's Biden laptop story?

• It is around a laptop that allegedly belonged to Hunter Biden and was allegedly dropped off at a computer repair shop in Delaware in 2019. The owner of the repair shop supposedly made a copy of the hard drive and turned it over to the FBI, who held onto it until after the 2020 election.

As this is a democracy, I think we can disagree, and I will: 

The Reason: 

The FBI's investigation into the laptop was ongoing, and it's not uncommon for law enforcement agencies to hold onto evidence until the investigation is complete.Even if the laptop had been released earlier, there's no evidence that it would have significantly impacted the election, given the short timing.

I would say no because this entirely legitimate story was suppressed by big tech and the MSM in order to help Joe Biden. And the MSM and 50 so-called intelligence "experts" lied about the story. They knew it was legit, but they chose to lie about it. Had this story been allowed to circulate as it should have, it may very well have had some impact on the election.

What "impact" other than propaganda designed to smear Joe with scurrilous allegations about Hunter?

It had very little effect. It could have, but didn't, simply due to the timing and the fact that it was met with reasonable skepticism, but that wasn't the intention or the only possible outcome.

Remember the first "laptop from hell" when Comey held a press conference to announce that more Hillary Clinton emails were discovered on Anthony Weiner's filthy laptop? The announcement hurt Hillary in the polls, but after the investigation was completed it turned out that there was no substance to it--there were emails, but no new emails, same old non-damning. emails. But the damage was done by the announcement. The truth as later revealed was too late to matter.

This was intended by the Trump campaign to be the same kind of October surprise. There would have been a full court press by the alt-right press and rumors, speculation and lies all over social media. (That happened anyway.) It may have hurt Biden at the polls if such claims had been embraced by credible media, but it was met with proper skepticism given the extraordinary--and extraordinarily sketchy--path to the public. As it turned out the laptop is likely legit, but there's also nothing incriminating about Joe Biden on the laptop. And we already knew Hunter was a deeply damaged person with a lot of issues. So was the public deprived of any information about candidate Biden? No, not really. 

The point being that it could have influenced the election but it shouldn't have -- and in a bit of universal justice it didn't. That really pisses off the cynical political pragmatists who wish the plan would have worked, and also the deranged conspiracy kooks who think there was a massive cabal suppressing the non-damning information. Cry me a river.

After Hunter dropped off the laptop the owner of the shop tried unsuccessfully to contact him but to no avail. Ninety days pass and then this laptop becomes the legal property of the repair shop owner. It belonged to him, not Hunter Biden, who was likely on another bender for 90 days give or take.

I guess you are unaware that Hunter is suing the shop owner, alleging that the owner copied his information from the laptop and distributing it. That would be from a laptop that he no longer owned, since he failed to come and get when the owner tried to contact him. I guess hard drugs can mess up a persons memory.

But never fear, as long as Joe is President, Hunter will continue to rake in millions. As will others in the Biden family.

Drug addiction is a horrible thing but I find it hard to feel sympathy for Hunter because he grew up in a pretty well off family thanks to Joe's lifetime in politics.
